I’ve been reading about this brand and their ‘revolutionary’ pants for a while now. I finally gave in and tested the HotPants version in black. If you’re not familiar with Zaggora; it’s a sportswear clothing brand, with a patented fabric scientifically proven to increase calorie burn. Being intrigued by anything new on the fitness/health scene – I was definitely excited to test them out!
How it works? The material (which kind of looks and feels like a thin scuba material), features their signature Celu-Lite heating fabric technology, which is a ‘multi-layer technology harnessing the body’s natural heat during exercise to help you burn more calories.’ With a flat waistband and high waisted shape – they’re also super flattering.
In action: As soon as I put them on, I start to feel warm from the waist to my knees. Within minutes after I hit the treadmill, I am literally boiling. For someone who doesnt normally sweat a lot – I really notice a difference when wearing them, and I am (excuse the grossness), dripping with sweat. So, it definitely feels like they are doing something! After a 45 min workout I am exhausted. It says on the instructions to wash immediately after every use, which I definitely understand, as when I slip them off, they are soaked from the inside.
Results? They certainly got me hot (to say the least!), and although I haven’t noticed any particular weight loss (which might be linked with eating far too much in L.A!) – they made me perspire straight away, which is a great fat burner! I came out the gym feeling like I had done more like a 2-hour work out, then a 45 minutes, which was a great feeling. They’re also really comfortable, and definitely worth the money in terms of effectiveness and quality. I can’t wait to wear them at my spinning class now; I might even have to invest in a longer pair for the winter, and test out the jumper version as well!
