Outfit Highlights 2012

DECEMBER (2011)
I bought this jumper from Zara (similar here), and I literally wore it to death last winter. Such a cute piece – which I often paired with my silk shorts and knee high boots. As you can see, the image quality and pose was far from perfected when I just started out!

JANUARY
This vintage feather bolero (similar here) was such an amazing find  – I loved wearing it with just a simple grey marl tee and some leather, as seen above from a night out, together with my ever trusted vintage Dior clutch.

FEBRUARY
This shearling scarf from Karl Donoghue (similar here) was the best buy. I have worn it with so many different outfit variations; one of my favourite being together with a slim fit leather jacket, skinny jeans and a touch of neon.

MARCH
// A very basic outfit composition – but a very ‘me’ outfit with simple lines and strong colour blocking. These peach skinnies from Zara (similar here) served me well last spring; I especially liked toning them down with a demure and classic black top – together with my gorgeous suede bow heels from Carven

APRIL
I LOVE this leather jacket from Uterqüe, together with the vibrant green clutch from Comme des Garçons (similar here). I made sure to wear an otherwise basic outfit and hairstyle, to let the key pieces really stand out.

MAY
This is one of my favourite looks from the summer – clean lines teamed with edgy and colourful accessories; red snakeskin ballerina pumps from Alexandre Birman (similar here) and a Chanel 2.55. Sometimes, simple is so much better, and rather work on the accessories.

JUNE
This vintage shirt was such a good buy, and pretty much worn to pieces. It’s a real statement piece, and I wore this style of outfit repeatedly throughout the summer; denim cut-offs, suede booties and my trusted Ray Ban aviator sunnies.

JULY
Another outfit with a lot of leg, but hey, it was summer! These slouchy leather shorts from Vero Moda Very (similar here), were such a good buy, and I love this dark look for the summer, combined with colourful and light accessories.

AUGUST
This dress holds some very special memories (my engagement in New York) – so needless to say, my favourite outfit from August! This dress from ASOS is so beautiful and vibrant, and surprisingly versatile – here paired with my nude suede heels from Bimba & Lola.

   SEPTEMBER
This is another classic ‘me’ outfit; skinny jeans, slim fit booties, a statement jumper (from Joules) together with a fitted leather jacket (from Selected Femme). Often the most clean and simple outfit elements are the best. Just make sure to add some great key, luxe pieces, to lift the simplicity – like with this oversized YSL ‘Cabas’ tote.

OCTOBER
This coat from ASOS was quite a surprising buy for me; if you’d ask me last year if I would wear this, it would be a plain no. However as the year has gone by with so many changes in my life – my style has become much more daring. As always; I paired it with plain accessories and black skinny jeans, still in keeping with my own style.

NOVEMBER
Another bold piece in my wardrobe was this red shirt from Baujken by Isabella Oliver, being another colour I would rarely wear in the past!). This is “every day” casual, with an edge; slouchy satchel and oversized sunglasses.

DECEMBER
This is one my favourite looks – skinny leather pants from Selected Femme teamed with a warm knit and some relaxed Converse. Always playing with contrasts; I added some big gold chandelier earrings and oversized YSL sunglasses, to “glam” it up.

And there you have it – my favourite outfit from each month this year! There were so many to choose from, but I think the ones I have chosen truly reflect my style and what I feel comfortable in. Looking back, I realise I am big fan of clutches, loose fitting shirts, skinny jeans, and a whole lot of leg!

Now, I want to know what is your favourite outfit?

Well, absolute favorite is the April outfit.  It’s got a classy formal style that would work pretty much anywhere without looking stiff.  Second would be June’s outfit for the same reasons just worded different:  effortless, comfortable look without looking cheap.  So to me, you look best when the “poles” to balance in between are apart the farthest.

I have to agree, although I have to agree and say I love the leopard coat and you last December outfit as well!

I think I like your November outfit the most, because it’s so simple but so pretty! I love the red blouse and now I want one too :D

Love the July, August & October outfits the most! The leopard print coat looks so much more expensive than ASOS & I really enjoy how you’ve taken an all black outfit and added a pop of colour with the clutch.

One of my closest friends has your ASOS dress too, just beautiful.
