WEEKEND GETAWAY TO PARIS: PART TWO

WEEKEND GETAWAY TO PARIS: PART TWO

Following part one of my Paris getaway (yes, I took that many pictures over the course of 2 days!) – my love and adventure with the city continued… Read on to find out more what we got up to on the Sunday!

After feasting and drinking a lot of red wine at Au Passage on Saturday evening – the need for some hard greens the next morning, was essential (all about balancing it out at the end of the day, right?). This one from French Detox did just the trick.

Even during my travels, one thing that I never compromise on is my skin care routine. Although some things always stay the same in terms of my beauty routine (more on that in a later blog post) – my products change around, all depending on season and specific skin concern at that point of time.

Right now I am using…

1. Bamford Travel Set
2. Kiehl´s Midnight Recovery Concentrate
3. Caudalie Vinexpert Radiant Day Cream SPF 15
4. Caudalie Eau de Beaute Beauty Elixir
5. Goldfaden MD Bright Eyes Serum
6. Byredo Black Saffron Eau de Parfum

In the morning we finally had breakfast in the main dining area at Le Bristol, which not surprisingly, we ended up spending over an hour in – feasting on the most amazing pastries, brioche, eggs with salmon, truffles, avocado, teas… Delicious.

Taking it all in… The courtyard of the hotel was another level. I personally loved the combination of the traditional features, mixed with the more contemporary and modern sculptures.

Notre Dame… Although it´s packed with tourists, it´s right on the Seine, and on a glorious sunny day – it´s pretty spectacular.

Designer (window) shopping on Rue Saint-Honoré

Walking through Place Vendôme is always a must – filled with more designer shops, and local Parisian boutiques all around and behind the square. I can easily spend hours walking in this area, and when we´re done looking in shops – we pop down to the The Tuileries Gardens – which during the autumnal season, is pretty dreamy.

After the gardens, we worked our way towards the area of Le Marais, which is one of our favourite areas in Paris – filled to the brim with the most charming cafees, restaurants and boutiques…

Make sure you don´t miss Rue Vieille du Temple and all the streets off this main strip, for some serious shopping! Personal favourites such as Maje, Sandro, A.P.C., Vanessa Bruno, Eleven Paris, Surface to Air, are all there. And make sure you don´t miss Merci, which is an incredible and eclectic concept store over three floors, with interiors, fashion, beauty, food and living. It´s an absolute must every time we visit, if only for some serious style inspiration, and definitely my all-time favoruite shop in Paris!

After we were shopped out in Le Marais – we went to Season to have some healthy lunch, which I have been personally dying to go to ever since seeing it on all my favourite Parisian blogger´s Instagram feed! After waiting for 20 minutes, we got seated and had some seriously delicious salad and cold pressed juice (which felt good after the amount of cakes and pastries we´ve had over the course of the weekend!).

After Le Marais, we made our way over to the luxuriously bohemian area of Saint-Germain, which alongside Le Marais, is also another favourite area of ours – and somewhere we usually stay when we´re in Paris. We could easily spend the whole day in this district, with all it´s picturesque and charming sidewalk cafés (we always go to Café de Flore for breakfast and coffee), art galleries, patisseries, centuries-old churches, and so much more.

An obligatory pit-stop for macaroons from Ladurée (of course!).

After a long day – it was sadly time to leave, and we headed back to Le Bristol to pack up and make our way back to London… Short but sweet – the perfect weekend getaway!

Thank you to PCC and Le Bristol for making this weekend to Paris possible.
