Wedding Series: Lashes

Wedding Series: Lashes

Leading up to the wedding, I was incredibly fortunate enough to work with various companies and brands to enhance and beautify a little bit extra for the big day. One thing I have been wanting to try out for a while, is eyelash extensions. I am pretty lucky with my existing lashes (well, I thought I was, before seeing the ‘before’ and ‘after’ shots!).

I was looking to get fuller lashes for the wedding, yet maintaining a very natural look. I have also heard so many amazing things about lash extensions, in terms of not having to wear any mascara for nearly a month; which is the perfect solution for a summer holiday! Amazing.

I had been highly recommend a salon called Perfect Eyelashes, which have three salons across London; I went to their West London boutique in Kensington. I was attended by very helpful and attentive staff, who helped me decide on the exact look and style of lashes I was after. I ended up going for the full set of the premier ‘Diamond Lashes’ – which are softer and more weightless then regular mink lashes – giving that more natural and lighter look. The appointment lasted just under 2-hours, which at first I thought was quite a lot – seeing as you obviously can’t see or do anything (I am the most restless and impatient person!). However, it turned out to be just what I needed – it was only a few days before our departure abroad for our wedding, and I had been running around doing last-minute errands all day. To unwind completely, was just what I needed…

I literally could not have been happier; how and why did it take me so long to get these done? They are flawless. My technician could not have been more precise, they are picture perfect and look super natural – just what I was after!

The lashes also turned out to be absolutely amazing whilst I was abroad before and after the wedding, where I spent most days by the pool and beach – I hardly wore a scrap of make-up all week, which felt amazing and obviously helped my skin a lot prior to the wedding (I can’t wait to get these done again for our honeymoon in a few months!).

And for how they looked on the actual big day? All I can say is I’m so glad I didn’t have to bother with mascara from the amount of tears of joy I shed that day!

Hi Anneli, really considering getting these for a wedding I’m attending this summer and then for going on holiday. I’ve had normal eyelash extensions before and only wasn’t keen on the fact they fall out quite randomly and sometimes took my real eyelashes out too leaving me with gaps! How were these with falling out and did your normal lashes stay the same as I do love my natural ones too! Thank you, Lottie xxx

Hi lovely! They lasted for ages, however they did in the end naturally fall out sporadically. They have left my eyelashes a bit thinner then normal, but I am hoping they will come back. I only got them as it was for a very special occasion (my wedding), however I probably would´t get them repeatedly as I am worried for my natural lashes! They lasted ages though and the result was beautiful. Good luck! Anneli x
