Wedding Series: Jimmy Choo Bridal Boutique

#IDOINCHOO

To say I was ecstatic when I was approached my Jimmy Choo to pick a pair of shoes for my wedding day (!) for their #IDOINCHOO social campaign – would be an understatement (I still can’t quite believe it). I would say it’s pretty much every girl’s dream, and I feel incredible fortunate.

As some of you might already know – Jimmy Choo have an amazing Bridal Boutique with a huge selection to choose from (this did not make things easier by any accounts!). Although their online boutique is fab – I wanted to pop into the store and try on some different styles. I booked into the Bridal Boutique on Sloane Street branch in Chelsea (highly recommended by the way) – where I was met by friendly and knowledgeable staff (and some champagne at 10am – why not?!).

The Selection

As you can see – the Bridal Boutique is stunning. I really felt like a princess! I also wasn’t too overwhelmed by the selection and choice; it was carefully presented, and everything blended in beautifully with the soft pastel colours, letting all the shimmer, diamonds and glitter shine through.

Needless to say – Jimmy Choo bridal shoes are insane. The selection was gorgeous, ranging from dainty and minimal strappy sandals, traditional satin and lace, glitter peep toes, simple diamante cage shoes, stilettos, and more. I did however have a few styles in mind before going in, making the selection process a lot easier. As you know, I’m pretty particular with my style, so after countless squeals of excitement – I picked out my original wish list, which was narrowed down to five strong contenders.

The Lottie

Ah, the amazingness. These ones were quite a simple and traditional shoe style – but the shimmer and metal gold heel made them really stand out. I am sucker for strappy sandals and I loved the silver/gold combination together!

The Kelsey

I really loved these ones – they felt very vintage and 1920’s style, which I adored. Again, I also particularly loved the matt gold together with the silver, and the heel height felt ok – a definite contender!

The Capri

I love a good stiletto – and seeing as it’s a very ‘me’ style of shoe – I just had to pick out the bridal version. They were such a killer heel, with the metal tip and shimmer detailing; my only concern was if they would actually go with the style of my dress…

The Fable

These were the most traditional of my selection – with the beautiful ivory lace and satin. Although they have mini platform, they’re still super dainty and feminine with their satin cross straps. They were also the more comfortable out of them all, and just so darn pretty!

The Kallai

Well, what can I say. I literally couldn’t put these down (or take them off) after setting my eyes on these insane suede & crystal cage stilettos. The pictures really don’t do these justice; they’re just the most beautiful shoes I’ve laid my eyes on. Although the heel height was an initial concern – funnily enough, I didn’t notice anything when I was wearing them (with the biggest grin on ever).

Decisions, Decisions…

As mentioned, I’d already narrowed the selection down to five pairs – all pretty different styles. So many things to think about: heel height, colour, comfort and which ones will photograph the best on the big day… Also, choosing a pair I could potentially re-use after the wedding (why not?).

Happy Girl

After a few hours, the decision was made. To be honest – I kind of already knew which ones I wanted and would be the right choice for the style of my dress before even going in. It was however still really important that I got to try on the different styles, so I could be re-assured that the ones I wanted, were indeed the one.

There are some things I would like to keep private until the big day; so unfortunately I won’t be sharing which shoes I actually chose (sorry!), or anything of the dress or accessories before after the wedding (my future husband is an avid reader of my blog, after all!). I would however love to hear which ones are your favourite (and which ones you think I ended up with?).

Thank you so much Jimmy Choo for making me feel like a princess.

Wow, I didn’t know Choo had a bridal boutique :-) It looks gorgeous…

The pointy-toed ones are definitely my favourites but I also think that comfort is THE key on a wedding day – can’t think of anything worse than agonising pain caused by shoes on such an important day! You need to feel comfortable..

Looks like you had a wonderful time Anneli! Photo 16 is my absolute fave, love that photo, I think that’s the expression I had when I brought my first pair of Choos!! :-)) They are all beautiful but if I had to pick a pair myself I would go for either Fable or Kelsey, those two stand out for me. Whatever you have chosen will be perfect. X
