Paris. Where do I even start? It is one of the most magical cities in the world; not only for it´s obvious beauty with it´s architectural character and history – but because it just has that effortless feel to it (which probably has something to do with the ever chic Parisians), charming cafeés and bistros on every corner, the best designer shopping (as well as some seriously cute boutiques and local markets), food to die for… The list goes on.
A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to spend a long weekend in the beautiful Portmeirion in North Wales – which is a gorgeous tourist village, designed and built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975 in the style of an Italian village, and is now owned by a charitable trust.
After a whirlwind weekend in San Francisco, we jumped in our Jeep and embarked on our West Coast road trip down to L.A, driving down the iconic Big Sur – a long-time dream of ours for quite some time; so the excitement levels were high, lets put it that way.
After an memorable week in L.A, we flew up to San Francisco for a long weekend. Its somewhere we have been longing to visit for a long time, so the expectations were high!
As we speak I am currently in Ibiza with the lovely River Island and Grazia team – and we are back to the subject I dread the most when it comes to a holiday, the packing. When that said, as I have been travelling so much recently, I am definitely getting more pro at it – finding myself creating actual outfits, and detecting certain classic outfit essentials that always work.
Here are some of my must-haves that joined me on this trip.
Hello from ROME!
Well, I’m not here at this exact moment (it was this weekend just gone) – nevertheless, something I wanted to share with you! I’ve been fortunate enough to have travelled very many places across the world. Ironically, Rome – the city of love, food (Italian is probably my favourite) and immense history – is somewhere I haven’t been! Having just returned from my trip; I know it definitely won’t be my last time.
By the time you are reading this, I’m in Marrakech! We jetted off there early this morning with my whole family for a surprise trip for my father’s 60th birthday. I can’t wait to spend long days trawling through the souks (the local markets), trekking through the Atlas Mountains, and relaxing at my favourite spa, Les Bains de Marrakech.
Although I’ve realised I have accumulated far too much stuff since moving – I am still hoping to find some gems in the souks, maybe some nice embroidered leather boots or silver jewellery? As always, I am never too far away from the blog – so I have scheduled in a few posts over the weekend (in case I don’t get on any Internet!).
