TRANSITIONING

TRANSITIONING

September is definitely a month of transitioning. School’s back, we mentally (and physically) start to switch our summer wardrobe into autumn, and then there’s that new crisp, coolness in the morning air… I for one cannot wait. I am so excited to start digging out all my snuggly knitwear, denim and coats. Although in terms of footwear, I tend to love and live in flats such as sandals, ballerinas, sliders… So jumping into closed boots will definitely be a minor struggle – but everything else that comes with the new season, bring it on.

Core autumnal wardrobe staples of mine always include some good knits, with a difference – teamed with a pair of classic jeans. For non-maternity clothes (which still work with the bump), I have re-discovered COS, with it’s elegant and wider shapes, such as this gorgeous jumper-with-a-shirt style. So good, I invested in both the navy and cream version – both of which will be perfect post-maternity as well.

Teamed with the best skinny jeans via Topshop – which to me, are the ideal cropped length; especially when paired with the prettiest flats I ever did see – in the shape of these dreamy blue velvet ballerinas from L.K.Bennett… I mean, have you ever seen anything quite so perfect? And you all know by now this season, that I am obsessed with a pointy flat (they’re just to damn flattering and lengthening in my opinion!). To top it off, this stunning shade of dusty blue, is the ideal colour to transition with me into fall (so I hopefully I can leave off those boots for a tad bit longer).
