My interior within my home, is much how I play with fashion; investing in high quality basics and keeping the overall look clean with neutral walls and flooring – then rather having fun playing around with colourful accessories.
This enables you to change the look of your place so easily; if you get bored of the colour scheme or prints – just swap it out! Replace your old cupboard/drawer knobs with colour styles, to add some character; update your crockery and tableware; invest in some (good-looking) coffee table books; update your pictures with some fresh prints; fill a statement vase with a bunch of peonies; change your bedding and cushions… The list goes on.
Although we only recently renovated and designed our new home back in November, I am itching to change it for the summer – with soft blues, bright orange, bohemian and nautical prints, and more gold (always). One of my go-to interior shops, Anthropologie – has the best selection in at the moment. You only have to invest in a few keep pieces, and you can radically change the look of your place. Tired of graphic and minimal prints, opt for softer florals or tribal prints for the summer! The possibilities are endless (and its so much fun!).
Here is my top selection right now…

The picture in the top right was designed by Erin Gates of Elements of Style – a really great designer and blogger from the US. Her book is wonderful – you should check out both her blog and book, think you’ll like!
Thank you so much for the tip, I will check it out for sure! Ax
