Ok, so I am only 3 1/2 weeks from my due date, which means I have finally started looking at ‘normal’ clothes again, and definitely started to rack up a rather long Autumn wish list. First thing’s first though – I always aim to get in early when it comes to new season coats, as so many times, all the good ones sell out straight away! So I have done some online shopping/browsing for you guys – and narrowed down the top 10 styles on the high street right now – so whatever style you’re after, I’ve kinda got it covered…
ASOS Maxi Coat in Heritage Check
Ah the check coat. Such an eternal classic and a solid investment – adding both edge and preppy sophistication to your look – however you want to style it.
ASOS Trench Coat in Vinyl
Such a cool piece – I mean, I know what I’ll be wearing this Autumn, that’s for sure! Team it with frayed jeans, sneakers or even heels, for that extra glam look…
PrettyLittleThing Leopard Print Faux Fur Coat
In my opinion, every lady should own a faux fur leopard printed coat – and I am pretty sure I have found which one I will be investing in this season! Another true classic, which looks good with just about anything (casual or classy).
Topshop Colour Block Cape
I love me a good cape – especially a more statement style – hence why it was pretty much love at first sight with this colour block version in red and white. Again, teamed with jeans, dresses, skirts – layered over a thin knit or a leather jacket… The perfect transitional piece.
Warehouse Drop Shoulder Bonded Swing Coat
Red is the colour this season, and there are just so many good styles to choose from! As red is such a bold statement colour, I like mine more oversized, androgynous and slightly masculine – and this one is just perfect.
Mango Zip Detail Leather Jacket
Another style of jacket every lady should own – and I’m pretty sure I know which one I will be getting this season! Fitted, cropped arms, just the right amount of zips and buckles, not too bulky… Perfect.
ASOS Suede Aviator with Faux Shearling
Loving the biker style, but want something a bit warmer for winter? The shearling is another hot style this season, and I have found just the right one (already ordered and tried on – so I can vouch for how good it is!).
Topshop Crystal Embroidered Shacket
The khaki jacket is without a doubt my most worn style of jacket – and I am kind of into adding some more statement and ‘glam’ this season (without breaking the bank). Adds that extra coolness to any outfit.
NEXT Camel Bouclé Coat
Another true classic and safe investment – and a great alternative to grey or black – adding a bit more warmth and softness to your autumnal look.
& Other Stories Black Wool Trench Coat
A trench coat is always a good idea, but why not go for one in wool – to take you all the way from Autumn to Winter. I love this fitted style – such a feminine, yet edgy piece to add to your coat selection.
Very thorough, interesting & informative piece of research for followers of fashion.
Oh I have to admit I do rather like the vinyl trench coat, although I’m not sure how well I would pull it off! x
