THE REVIVAL OF SPORTY SPICE (ANNO 2017)

Sporty Spice was always my fave (although I had a soft spot for Posh Spice too), and during my early teens when the Spice Girls were at it´s peak; I wore tracksuits, platforms and high sling pony tails like there was no tomorrow. I mean, all of these components into one outfit was never a good look (let´s be honest) – but that´s not to say I don´t still have a bit of a soft spot for some of the more active styles which has come with the ´Sports Luxe` trend over the past few years…

I´ve particularity wanted to invest in those perfect, tailored track pants for such a long time now – but have yet to have discovered a style which has that sporty look, yet are still flattering, and a classic investment piece in it´s own right. So when I found these dreamy navy slacks from Milly – with the signature bright stripes – I was sold.

They key to this look, is keeping the rest of the outfit elegant and sophisticated. I styled the track pants with a feminine shirt, with classic bows – balancing out the otherwise masculine pants. Teamed with simple black heels, a statement bag (to bring some edge to the overall look), combined with muted sunnies – it´s definitely a sporty, yet luxe look I can get down it (and a far cry from my Sporty Spice days – thank goodness).
