THE HOLIDAY OUTFIT FOR CITY & BEACH

Whether you’re planning on a city holiday or a beach escape this summer – nailing that go-to holiday outfit, in the shape of the perfect easy dress, sandals, bag and sunnies, is pretty key. Naturally, come summer time, one tends to gravitate more towards colour and prints (I know I do!), but you really can´t beat the perfect LBD, which is lightweight and easy to wear, for sightseeing or thrown on after after a long day bronzing in the sun – combined with easy-to-style accessories…

As I am now 6 1/2 months pregnant (I know – time is just flying by!), our summer plans are naturally a lot less than usual. We had a gorgeous and pretty early babymoon in Ibiza in the beginning of June, and heading back home to our summer house on the fjords in Norway next week (my favourite place) for 10 days of relaxing with the family. We are however contemplating squeezing in a few weekends here and there – possibly city and beach, before the baby arrives. I mean, make the most out of it while we can, I guess!

Comfort is so key for me at the moment; hence why I have been investing in so many different styles of dresses in all shapes and forms this summer (and if you’ve been reading my blog for some time, you would know that dresses is not usually a piece I frequently invest in!). But I just couldn’t resist this black stretchy bardot dress (a maternity style) – which is not only super comfortable, easy and lightweight to throw on; it´s also pretty darn sophisticated (if I may say so myself).

It´s a style of dress which is so easy to dress up and down during your holidays; here I have teamed it with some ultra chic beaded sandals, a classic straw bag and my new luxe sunnies, for a casual day-time look. But team it with some strappy sandals, statement earrings and a clutch, and you’re sorted for the evening.
