THE 6 BEAUTY PRODUCTS I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT

Time is limited for us all, but I personally didn’t quite understand quite how precious time was, after I become a mama… This is definitely the case when it comes to any kind of self-care or pampering (the latter of which is massive rarity nowadays). Small things like having time to shower in peace, doing your make-up without the little one raiding and pulling everything out of the drawer (I have definitely been known to leave the house with only eyeliner on one eye), having a face or hair mask. Of course, there is more time during the weekend when Daddy day care kicks in, but during the week things are a lot trickier, so it’s even more important than ever finding those must-have beauty products which really work…. Here are my 6 absolute beauty must-haves.

1. bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream
No word of a lie, this tinted moisturiser from bareMinerals is the best thing since sliced bread. I genuinely don’t leave the house without it. As I suffer from a bit of pigmentation (combination of sun damage and hormonal), this is the perfect amount of coverage for me; it gives the most natural glow and dewy complexion, covers all the pigmentation (without looking like I’m wearing a full face of make-up), and is super moisturising for the skin. I’m obsessed. (I wear colour ‘Ginger’).

2. NARS Soft Matte Concealer
I have been using this NARS concealer for over a year now, and it’s by far the best concealer I have ever come across. It’s lightweight, creamy and so nice to wear. It blends in really nicely, lasts all day and gives such a natural looking coverage – meaning that you don’t even need foundation most of the time! (I wear colour ‘Custard’).

3. Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil
This hair oil from Gisou has completely transformed my tired and dry looking tresses when I’ve needed it the most! It’s so good that I got rid of all my other hair oils, as nothing else could compare to it. With honey, almond and coconut oil, it leaves my hair so much stronger, moisturised and bouncier, without ever leaving it too oily. It’s worth every penny in my opinion (and the bottle will last you for ages).

4. Skinceuticals C E Ferulic
The number one anti-ageing beauty product any facialist or skincare expert will tell you to invest in for your skin, is Vitamin C. And a lot of them will most likely recommend the C E Ferulic from Skinceuticals. It’s literally liquid gold for your skin (hence the price tag), and helps prevent free radical damage and improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and loss of firmness.

5. La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Ultra Light Fluid SPF 50+
All year round, come rain or shine, I don’t ever leave the house without SPF50 on, and the SPF I keep coming back to is this cult classic from La-Roche Posay. I love that it’s 100% hypoallergenic, super lightweight, non-greasy and really protects against sun damage and dark spots – not to mention, it’s really affordable.

6. Bioderma Sébium H2O Purifying Cleansing Micelle Solution
Last but not least, this cleansing water from Bioderma, which I’ve been using for over 5 years now. I used to use the original pink bottle, which was aimed at sensitive skin, but I’ve now moved over to the the green bottle, which is more towards oily/combination skin. I use it every evening after cleansing, to wipe off any excess make-up, impurities of excess sebum. It really helps purify and balance out my skin. I can’t live without it!
