TAILORED TO PERFECTION

´Tis the season for parties, dressing up, wardrobe dilemmas, new investments and (just maybe), changing things up a bit… I´m not one to instantly reach for a dress come party season; I have always been (and probably always will be), a pants and jeans girl. It´s not that I don´t own some amazing dresses, and do of course love to wear them from time to time; it tends to be trousers I more often than not reach for. So when French Connection asked me to style up a ´tailored` look and alternative for the upcoming festive season, I more than happily accepted the challenge to take it that step further.

Suited and booted, I styled these wide legged pants together with a white pussy bow blouse, grey tweed coat and matching black accessories. I love the combination and mix of textures, which always elevates any classic outfit, and the overall look is so clean and minimal (which I love).

All about the details…

These wide legged tuxedo pants are the perfect alternative to a dress; they’re super sophisticated and classy, and when teamed with complimenting components, such as a sleek blouse and a feminine tweed coat – it´s a fail-safe alternative.

This look wasn’t necessarily a challenge to style up; however I was slightly out of my comfort zone initially, with the more masculine elements. But I ended up feeling so comfortable and confident in the outfit – and with the killer heels to add that bit of height and length to the wide legged pants – it´s definitely going to be a key look for me this December.
