SUMMER NEUTRALS

SUMMER NEUTRALS

I have every intention of wearing lots (and lots) of tonal neutrals for summer – in the shades of white, nudes and light denim. But not just for hitting the beach; hues of neutrals also look great for a more dressed up-look for day-time chic, or classic elegance come night…

Summer is the season when whites are more appropriate than not, and although black is my day-to-day staple must-have all year round, I´m planning on swapping out the majority of my darker tops, with crisp white shirts, blouses, jackets, and investing in more white and bleached denim (not to mention all the lovely nudes and blush accessories which are hitting the shops right now).

The importance when wearing white, is contrasting with darker, mainly black, accessories. Unless you´re on the beach in a soft cotton boho dress (when it´s totally OK to go all out), it´s key to add some statement accessories to add a bit of edge to the overall look. But you don´t need to go monochrome all the way; break it up with various tonal elements, such as denim and nudes (how gorgeous are these blush heels from REISS?), to keep the rest of the outfit soft and fresh.

So in love with my new cat-eye sunnies from Jimmy Choo

The power of a gilet… Especially in the transitional months when the weather is so changeable! This tailored style from Zelle Studio is perfection, and I´m planning on wearing it with everything from a black LBD, shorts and sandals, and even on it´s own as a dress. Such a versatile piece.
