When styling an outfit, more often than not, it starts with the shoes. Be it a pair of slinky sandals for the summer, some killer stilettos for the party season, dainty heels for date night, statement kicks, casual ballerinas or some black leather booties. Whatever style it is; if you get the shoes right, the rest of the outfit will swiftly follow suit.

So when I teamed up with one of my favourite British high street shoe brands, Dune London, who are currently running their #StartWithTheShoes online campaign – it was pretty easy for me to talk about my love of footwear, and how important footwear is to me. Especially right now, with the impending party season upon us, and the ever challenging concept of nailing that desk-to-party outfit – where having the right shoes can make all the difference.

Never personally being a big fan of too high heels (especially during the day-time), I tend to rather seek out boot styles with an added edge, which looks good for both work and play. So there was no surprise I fell in love with these super chic double zip block heel boots from Dune, which are the perfect addition to a more more minimal and tonal outfit. Even worn with skinny jeans or an LBD – they will add that understated cool to any look.
