ON MY SHELF: MY HOLIDAY BEAUTY ESSENTIALS, PART TWO

ON MY SHELF: MY HOLIDAY BEAUTY ESSENTIALS, PART TWO

When I’m flying long-haul and away for more than week – it takes some careful planning when it comes to my toiletries. For me, some of the key criterias include multi-use, SPF and hydrating products – ideal for hot and interchangeable weather. Here are some of my current and long-term favourites…

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Tonic: I don’t go anywhere without a toner; which is a crucial part of my cleansing routine, to help remove grime and residue from living in a big city, as well as during holiday – when one is constantly out and about, or lapping up the sun with layers of sun lotion. This toner from Bobbi Brown gets off all the grime and leftover make-up, leaving my skin soft and re-freshed (it smells pretty good, too).

Guinot New White Perfect Brightening Cleansing Oil: I am obsessed with this oil cleanser from Guinot – I don’t think I can ever go back to regular gel cleansers after trying oil! It removes off make-up so much easier, its gentler to the skin and leaves it silky smooth. I have had this bottle from Guinot since early spring, and there is still a lot left – a little, really goes a long way.

Cult 51 Night Cream: This much hyped ‘3D’ night cream has taken the beauty industry by a storm. With focus on anti-ageing and containing potent ingredients which helps boost the skin’s own natural processes of renewal to restore and reveal a smooth and natural complexion. Deeply hydrating, enhancing a plumped and fresh complexion – it has won me over. The texture is very thick, which might not suit everyones skin – but it was the perfect moisturiser to have during my summer holidays – where my skin was extra dry and parched from drying sun and changeable weather.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Radiance: Another beauty must-have which rarely leaves my sight; this moisturising primer, applied after moisturiser and before make-up – leaving my skin bright, illuminated, smooth and soft.

Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask: A creamy and hydrating face mask is an absolute must-have to ensure my skin is getting that extra boost of hydration during my holidays. This mask is pricey – but worth every penny, for that glowing and plump skin.

Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil: A long-term favourite – this natural, multi-use oil is the ideal moisturising serum, helps diminish and soothe any scarring, marks, sun burn and age spots, can be applied on any extra dry skin, such as chapped heels, dry elbows or cuticles, and helps with fine lines. The oil also contains concentrated fruit hip oil, with double the regenerative sterols and five times the carotenoids of seed oil, its packed with skin favourites omegas 3,6,7,9, plus vitamin C for a power-packed antioxidant punch. Your skin is left radiant all day!

Vichy Ideal Soleil Face BB Tinted Cream SPF50: SPF for my face is a must, but I hate using creams which leaves my face all white; this tinted cream from Vichy is ideal if you’re on a city holiday, as it covers as well as protects. Multi-use at its best.

Elemental Herbology Cell Food Radiance & Vitality Serum: Another great serum – which I layer on after using the Pai serum. Containing a ‘power house’ of proteins, vitamins and anti-oxidants – this lightweight serum is ideal for dull, under-nourished skin – in other words, ideal for travelling – particularly during and after a long flight.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir: I am not quite sure how my skin would survive without this “elixir of youth” – which by the pump of a few sprays to your face; helps smooth features, tighten pores, and gives a fresh-faced and radiant complexion. I always have this pocket sized spray with me wherever I go; the water awakens the skin in the morning, and helps liven it up if I am in need of a little boost!

Maria Nila Sheer Silver Shampoo & Conditioner + Colour Refresh Mask in Pearl Silver: The downside of having blonde highlights during the summer? The colour is left dull with a yellow and orange tone. In comes Maria Nila – 100% vegan and natural Swedish hair care. I have been using the silver range for the past few months, which has helped kill the yellow tone, giving it more of a cool, blonde colour. Unlike many other silver hair care products – this shampoo and conditioner duo leaves my hair super soft and nourished. For an extra boost of silver – I have been using their colour refresher moisturising hair mask – dull hair, no more!

Love Caudalie beauty Elixir! You might like Pixi Glow Tonic if you like toners, but unlike the Bobbi Brown one, this one is exfoliating so really leaves your skin glowing. Also, I am renovating my house at the moment. I love your sink…what brand is it? Can you do a couple of house posts sometime please? x

I am a fan of two of these items and an absolute devotee of CULT51 so hardly surprising I like this piece.
