Although I´m more than happy in my new neighbourhood – I do from time to time, miss the gloriously pretty pastel houses from my old area in Notting Hill… In all shades and hues you can think of, with bubblegum pink, lilacs, blues, yellow, peach… (my favourite is always the pink). I mean, I would never normally wear anything pink – so it´s the perfect back-drop for my favourite denim ensemble of the summer.
It´s nothing new that I´m (still) living in off-the shoulder tops and dresses. Not only are they the perfect feminine, summer staple; they can also be one of the most flattering styles (always a bonus) and are suprisingly easy to wear. Tucked in with a mini skirt, high waisted jeans, or loosely thrown over with a pair of denim cut-off´s or a long floaty skirt.
This denim style, has been such a great wardrobe basic this season – and I´ve particularly loved teaming it with one of my all-time favourite jeans models (´The Carrot Boyfriend Jeans`) which just launched in the perfect light denim shade. With the two different blues together, it´s not too much of an overkill with the double denim look.
I am obsessed with customising my jeans at the moment – be it with rips and cropping them to the perfect length (just above the ankle). Which leads way to the footwear; in the shape of the most perfect kitten heels from L.K. Bennett.
You just can´t beat lazy summer days in Notting Hill. It just makes you happy!
Another wardrobe favourite (which I´m sure you´ve spotted enough times on my Instagram already) is the perfect black tote bag from Meli Melo. I have been using it near enough every day since I got it a while back; it´s the ideal shape for long days running around, where you need more space than a cross-body to keep all your stuff together. I particularly love the woven black leather, making it such a great statement piece. Worn with the long handles or the short – it´s the ultimate black bag investment buy.
