#2 Marrakech Buys

Last month it was orange, this month’s obsession seems to be yellow! This bag caught by eye instantly when I spotted it in the busy souks, amongst many other colours and sequin variations. I love the tan leather handle and shape. It will be perfect in the summer, for a beach holiday or to my local park.

Ceramic butter dishes reminds me of home. This beautiful hand painted emerald coloured dish was beautiful and well, another piece I just couldn’t resist!

Saving the best to last – my favourite buy from Marrakech. This embroidered cushion is so me; the colours, the bohemian aspects, and especially the fringes (I love a good fringe). I didn’t expect it to go in our new flat, but it actually looks perfect, and adds statement to an otherwise muted sofa arrangement.

So that was the last of my buys! Surprisingly no jewellery (I seem to acquire some kind of accessories on every trip) – but the choice was endless, and I was a bit overwhelmed by the never ending market stalls with silver and beads (you’re thinking ‘me, overwhelmed by shopping?’), but yes. I stuck to decorating the flat instead, with pieces which will remind me of an amazing holiday, spent with the people I love.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
