My Quest For The Perfect Red

My Quest For The Perfect Red

Red lips don’t necessarily come natural to me. Thats not to say I don’t I love the and try it on from time to time; I just don’t think its a colour which always suits me. Naturally I was pretty excited when I was invited to Bobbi Browns new salon in Covent Garden – where my main objective was to find the perfect shade of red…

The store itself is amazing and feels super luxe, yet really welcoming and organised (pretty much heaven for any beautyholic!). I was put in the very capable hands of top make-up artist Amalia Russell (she’s amazing) – who guided me through the various ranges and world of Bobbi Brown.

Getting your skin prepped is just about everything – so I got started with Bobbi’s skincare range (I can vouch for it being excellent), having used it for the last 3-4 weeks. I start off with cleansing (Soothing Cleansing Oil), toning (Hydrating Face Tonic), serum (Intensive Skin Supplement), eye cream (Hydrating Eye Cream) and finish off with a moisturiser (Hydrating Face Cream), which also works as a make-up primer!

Once the base of the make-up is on – Amalia applies bronzer, rouge, countouring, eyes, eyebrows and finally – the lips.

I think she pretty much nailed it – my quest for the perfect red lips is complete thanks to ´Harlow Red` – I love it!
