MY AUTUMN SKIN ESSENTIALS

MY AUTUMN SKIN ESSENTIALS

My skin is usually pretty consistent… I get more pigmentation during the warmer months (hence why SPF50 is always a regular beauty staple of mine), and during the colder months, my skin is more dehydrated and dry. Fortunately I have tried and tested my fair share of beauty products over the years, and I’ve acquired many favourites during this time (and also distinguished which brands/products which don’t do much for my skin). For the colder months, it’s even more important to find the right products for your skin type, to help battle redness, lock in the moisture and keep it nice and supple – and here are the products I’m using right now…

But before I share the products with you, I would just like to add that with skincare – it’s very important to switch things up every now and again, and not always stick to your same favourites every day. This enables your skin to maintain reactive and receptive to the skincare, basically!

CERAVE MOISTURISING LOTION

This moisturiser from CeraVe is such an ideal moisturiser for dry, dehydrated skin, without it being too thick and greasy. It’s so reasonably priced, easy to apply and my skin is left feeling so soft and smooth all day long.

PREVISE HYDRATING SKIN CLEANSER

For the last few months I have been using this cleanser from Previse – which is a fragrance-free, vegan marine algae cleanser – which gently cleanses the skin, without stripping any essential oils. It cleans the pores, removes excess oils, dead skin cells, and it’s really left my skin feeling – and looking so smooth and squeaky clean.

PREVISE MARINE GRANULES

A few times a week, I like to blend the Previse cleaner cleanser with these Marine Granules, which is a brightening exfoliator that blends algae and botanical extracts, which helps buffs the skin, stimulate cell renewal, and gives a radiant and cleanses complexion. This combination is so good!

ANNE SEMONIN OLIGLIO PROTECT CREAM SPF30

This gorgeous, rich and incredible moisturising anti-ageing day cream from Anne Semonin, is ideal for dry and tired skin (perfect for me then!). Infused with botanical ingredients, magnesium, potassium and calcium – it helps to reduce wrinkles, smooth the skin surface, adds radiance, moisturises and calm the complexion. It’s pricy, but worth the money in my opinion.

BY SARAH LONDON ORGANIC BODY OIL

I love a good body oil, and this 99% organic, 100% natural, 100% plant-based oil from by Sarah London is so nourishing and hydrating. With sweet almond oil, apricot oil, jojoba oil, evening primrose and vitamin E, this oil is ideal for dehydrated, dry and damaged skin (and mums-to-be, to help battle those stretch marks!).

BOBBI BROWN PRIMER PLUS HYDRATING 3-1-1 SETTING SPRAY

Dewy, moist skin isn’t just for the summer months! I love keeping my skin refreshed with a glow every day (who doesn’t?!), hence why I love this hydrating primer spray from Bobbi Brown – a 3-in-1 setting mist, that preps your skin for foundation, finishes make-up and instantly refreshes the complexion (oh, and it’s free from parabens, sulphates & phthalates).

MALIN+GOETZ BRIGHTENING ENZYME MASK

This 2-in-1 exfoliating gel mask from Malin+Goetz, works to brighten, tighten and soothe the skin. Infused with pomegranate, pumpkin and ginger extracts – as well as botanical AHAs and powerful antioxidants, it exfoliates, removes impurities and dead cells – all whilst boosting the skin with moisture. It’s my go-to mask at the moment.

DARPHIN VETIVER AROMATIC CARE FOR STRESS RELIEF

This Darphin oil isn’t just for the Autumn months, but I included it in here, as it’s something I definitely need at the moment! It’s such a soothing and comforting elixir, with Vetiver, Geranium and French Lavender – which really helps to calm and restore the skin, whilst shielding against the environment, daily stresses and lack of sleep. Yes please.

CRÈME DE LA MER (LIMITED-EDITION JAR)

Granted, Crème de La Mer is one very expensive pot of cream, but I can tell you that it really does work (for my skin, anyways), so it’s up to you whether you think it’s worth it! This ultra rich cream, is ideal for the colder weather – it’s deeply soothing, moisturising and really nourishing for dry skin, making it feel so plump and dewy, vibrant and healthy. I like to wear it at night, and my skin is so smooth and hydrated the next day.

Hej Anneli! //Lisa
