I am sure most of you (especially all my UK readers) have seen this season’s Marks & Spencer’s campaign featuring ‘Britain’s Leading Ladies‘. They launched this campaign for the first time last season, and this year’s fabulous ladies did not dissapoint – featuring the likes of Annie Lennox, Emma Thompson, Rita Ora, and more.
The campaign offers four different collections: Pretty Pastels (tailored and soft pieces in muted and neutral colours), Worldwide (tribal, prints, arty, monochrome and strong colours), 90’s Luxe (minimal, monochrome and tailored) and Pretty Things (feminine, soft, ladylike and floral prints). When M&S approached me about the campaign to select and style a complete outfit from one trend – the choice fell on the 90’s Luxe collection, with it’s clean tailoring and minimal colours (although Worldwide was a very strong contender – this paisley jacket is to die for!).
I love everything about this look; from the soft tencel pants, super chic tailored waistcoat, the perfect basic fitted top, and these amazing sandals, which will no doubt be one of my summer favourites! The outfit is minimal yet smart; it’s also pretty versatile – just add some heels and you have the perfect day-to-night outfit (which I always struggle to nail).
