MONTHLY FAVOURITES #39

MONTHLY FAVOURITES #39

Anyone else still reluctantly transitioning into Autumn? I mean, I still have my eye firmly on the new arrivals (and have already treated myself to some new season pieces as seen below) – but I am still technically in summer mode, in terms of my day-to-day wardrobe, alongside clinging onto the last weeks of warm, sunny weather. So for now, and for this month’s favourites – I give you a good mix of a bit of both; such as must-have summer statement sandals, alongside my new furry slippers…

But let’s start off with what I am most excited about; which also happens to be an new season buy for Autumn… My new Gucci Soho bag in red. You might have already seen me wearing the black and beige version a lot already – and that’s just it; I wear this style of bag ALL the time, hence why I could justify to myself getting it in yet another colour. And how I could I resist it in this gorgeous shade of red, which is definitely more of a statement colour – yet a classic and safe investment for years to come? One of the many reasons I love this style so much, is that it’s lightweight and rooms (surprisingly) a lot of stuff! So all in all, a very good buy.

Another great Autumn investment (albeit I still haven’t worn them!), are these gorgeous suede mocha boots from Ted & Muffy.  Such a classic style and shape, which will look great with skinny jeans and a oversized coat this coming season.

Talking about skinny jeans; I might have just found the perfect maternity ones from Mama.licious (which I am planning on wearing for a few months post birth too, as they’re just so good!). Super skinny, low waist, with the over-the-bump band and an ultra flattering fit. I only wish I had found them sooner in the pregnancy, with only 5 weeks to go left!

My current can’t-live-without hair product, is the legendary Oribe Gold Dust Dry Shampoo. No wonder it’s been so hyped for so long now; it really works, and gives my mane a few extra days of shine and freshness, without leaving it too heavy or greasy! Worth every penny, in my opinion.

I am loving my scented candles from Field Apothecary at the moment, and currently burning through ‘Ivy’ on a daily basis. If you’re into scented candles, and you like quite a strong aroma (which lasts), this brand is worth checking out!

The perfect gold hexagon hoops from Matthew Calvin, which I have been near enough wearing every day this past month. They look great on their own, or stacked with others hoops and studs.

Other jewellery pieces I am also loving at the moment, is this stunning Missoma pendant with the Blue Grey Chalcedony stone –  which I was kindly gifted at my Baby Shower. The stone is a nurturing stone that absorbs negative energy, promotes unity and friendship and feelings of goodwill. Such a previous piece.

I have been layering it with another stunning necklace, from Carrie Elizabeth – a lariat style, with diamonds and labradorite beads. Love!

The comfiest slippers I ever did see/buy/wore, belong to EMU. They (literally) haven’t left my sight for weeks, and I am already tempted to get them in the cream and pink version too! Great buy for winter.

From furry slippers, to these must-have statement sandals from ASOS. Not only are they a bargain buy (which always helps), but they’re super easy to to throw on and off and will jazz up any plain outfit, guaranteed.

Current favourite sunnies are these classic ones from Givenchy, which not only fits really well and adds that instant level of classic sophistication – they’re a classic, yet on-trend buy with the soft and more narrow cat-eye style.

Last but not least, some more beauty must-have’s that I am currently loving…

First up, is one of my all-time favourite cleansing waters – with the iconic Bioderma HB20. I have been using it for years, and it truly is one of the best toning/cleansing waters I have come across – never leaving the skin too dry or stripped, rather fuelling it with moisture, and leaving it so clean and fresh.

I have been testing out the Bybi Mega Mist Hyaluronic Acid Toner for the past few weeks, and so far, so good! It’s essentially a facial mist and toner, to help rejuvenate, refresh and hydrate thirsty skin – and with the high level of hyaluronic acid, it will help to plump, soften and promote bounce. Oh, and it’s 100% natural, vegan and cruelty free (even better).

An old classic, but one which I have returned to as of late – the Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne. It’s subtle, yet has all the properties I love in a daily scent; fresh and light, combined with earthy and spirited.

I know that your hair is supposed to be amazing during pregnancy (or so they say), but mine has not been anything special – so I have been relying on various products to get it nice and shiny, as well as bouncy and thick. I have been trying out Aveda’s Thickening Tonic, and so far, it’s really been been working.

Another classic and long-term favourite beauty product, are the Elemis Pro-Collagen Hydra Gel Eye Masks – which are travel and flying life-saviours, but also recently, when my sleep has become a lot more broken (I’ve also got a feeling I will be using these a lot after the baba arrives!). They really help de-puff, brighten and revive tired eyes.
