MONTHLY FAVOURITES #36

MONTHLY FAVOURITES #36

Now that many of you are most likely in the loop in regards to my very exciting pregnancy news a few weeks ago – you might start to notice some small changes in my monthly favourites; from what beauty products I need (dehydrated and pigmented skin, anyone!?), and some changes in the fashion and lifestyle faves… This month is quite predominant with shoes, as it´s been the easiest thing I can still buy and which I know will (hopefully) continue to fit for the rest of the season, some must-have beauty essentials to tackle my ´new` skin, the perfect red dress for my upcoming holiday to Ibiza, and some more sparkly delights…

Ok, let´s start off with (some) of the shoes… First up, these white lace & leather espadrilles from L.K.Bennett, are the perfect feminine, summer flats (and will no doubt be my summer go-to´s).

Moving onto these black pom pom slip-on flats from NEXT – I mean, these are an absolute STEAL of a buy, and the ideal statement flats with skinny jeans and dresses this season.

Now that I´m pregnant, I am opting for more wedges, flatforms and block heels (ditching the stilettos) – and it was love at first sight with these black pearl and gold clog sandals, also from NEXT. Although they’re chunky, they’re still feminine and stylish to wear with your summer wardrobe.

Moving on to that red dress, with this gorgeous cotton off-the-shoulder style from & Other Stories. You all know that I´m weak for anything in a bardot style; combined with this bright red colour, in a flattering and lightweight soft cotton for the summer – this dress is an absolute must-have for the season.

My new favourite mascara – and not only because it´s probably the most stunning mascara I have come across, but because it gives the longest and thickest lashes I have ever had! The only downside by this beauty from Christian Louboutin? It´s pretty heavy! But who cares, when it looks and works that good.

I really struggle with dry shampoos – I find they leave my hair super greasy, tacky and heavy. But I have finally found one that works, with Living Proof Healthy Hair Dry Shampoo – leaving my hair feeling super clean and fresh.

My new go-to scent from Jo Malone, is their new Star Magnolia Cologne. It´s so light and fruity (in a good way) with magnolia leaf, orange blossom, lemon, ginger and shiso…

Ok, let´s go back to the shoes. I´m obsessed with these navy pom pom sling back espadrilles, also from NEXT (they are killing it this season!). I love the colour, mixed with the satin and the playful pom poms.

Now to some ´proper` clogs, with this braided nude style in natural leather, from Lotta from Stockholm. These are definitely going to be worn a lot this summer; I am thinking teamed with frayed skinny jeans and floral dresses?

Last pair of shoes (I promise!) – with these super feminine black and denim fringed sling backs, from (surprise, surprise – NEXT!). Another statement style, yet a solid classic which will no doubt take me throughout the seasons.

Now to the jewellery… I´ll start off with this personalised chain letter necklace, from British fine jewellery brand, Annoushka. I mean, it´s probably THE most stunning necklace I have ever owned, not to mention the most precious – in 18ct gold and diamonds… I feel so lucky owning this piece!

This cheeky friendship bracelet, from Ruifier is so cute! Available in lots of colour ways, I opted for this style in light pink, with the ´Wicked` face in 18ct yellow gold.

Now that my skin is more congested and sensitive then ever (pregnancy skin!), I am being extra vigorous with my cleansing ritual, cleansing and toning. Two toners that I am loving right now, is the Avène Gentle Toner (ideal for sensitive and dry skin), and the Sunday Riley Martian Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner (ideal for oily and congested skin). As my skin is all over the place at the moment, I am alternating between the two, to get some balance!

My skin is also more dehydrated and parched then ever, as well as pigmented – I was recommended the Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream – which has really helped to brighten, refine and give that much needed, intense water drench to hydrate and plump my skin.

I have been trying out Goldfaden MD´s Facial Detox Clarify + Clear Mask – which is a skin corrective and purifying mask to help effectively deep clean blemish-prone skin, minimise the appearance of pores (yes please!), and soothe and reduce the appearance of redness and blemishes – giving a clearer, more radiant and even-toned complexion. Hallelujah.
