May is in full blast and I don´t think I´ve ever been more ready for some summer heat. Especially now that our house is ready and our garden is landscaped (did I mention that we planted a PALM TREE?). Bringing the tropics to suburbia, having that summer feeling all year around! Talking about the new season, here is what I´ve been loving so far…
As you might have read more about in this post, I´m currently on a 66 days #HabitsChallenge with Kikki.K, and one of the books that´s been keeping me motivated is The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin – which is such a positive, easy and motivating read, and one I would reccomend to everyone… Oh, if we only all applied some of Gretchen´s rules to our lives!
It was love at first sight when I spotted these pineapple cushions by Elizabeth Scarlett from Amara (one of my favourite online interior shops). Unsure initially where they were going, I just knew I had to have a pair. And a bit surprisingly, they went in the bedroom, which you might have seen in my previous home posts, is pretty tonal and grey. But I absolutely loved the contrast with the dark navy and fun pineapple print, making the overall look more personable.
My marble obsession continues, and I adore this miniature planter from Wood/Grey in the matt cemented marble. Such a little cute trinket for our house (although I´ve still not officially found a “home” for it, constantly moving it from room to room… Maybe I should buy a couple more?!).
With the summer just around the corner, I bought some ice lolly makers for the garden season. My current favourite? Almond milk blended with banana, matcha green tea, banana and blueberries. A delicious and creamy superfood lolly!
With my new hair, it naturally requires quite a lot more maintenance than before, so I invested in this duo From Kérastase Discipline, both ideal for colour damaged and heat treated hair. The shampoo is sulfur free (which is a must with extensions), and the ultra softening conditioner, is perfect to keep my mane nice and smooth.
Every girl needs a bottle of Moroccanoil in their lives; it´s ideal for smoothing, controlling frizz and softening the hair (without leaving it too greasy or heavy).
I live in espadrilles during the summer, and I love this slingback style from Wallis, which is a much more feminine and lighter style. In natural colours with faint glitter sparkles, they will look great with everything from skinny denim, shorts and summer dresses.
I´m not that big on countouring on a day-to-day basis, but this summer set from Tom Ford, is a winner. The dreamy colour palette makes this the ultimate summer beauty investment.
…not to mention this perfume, which instantly takes you away to sultry, hot summer days. I am obsessed.
I´m not usually that big on belts, but this gorgeous tan and brass style from Isabel Marant Étoile will look perfect with all my denim, white cotton dresses and even nipping in my oversized khaki jackets (a la Paris chic).
