Sadly, since my last Monthly Favourites post in March, Spring has only briefly teased us on a few occasions. But the beginning is near and having had some recent heat in Dallas a few weeks back, I am ready to embrace what´s left of April, and hopefully have a warm month of May. Here is what I have been loving, wearing and using, since last time…
1. HERBIVORE COCONUT OIL BODY POLISH
I´m obsessed with Herbivore products (using only natural ingredients and many certified organic ingredients), which I picked up from online lifestyle store, Wood Grey. Some of my current favourites is this Coco Rose Body Polish, which is the ideal product for Spring; deeply moisturises and gently exfoliates your skin, using a blend of virgin coconut oil and Moroccan Rose.
2. PENHALIGON’S EQUINOX BLOOM
Inspired by the quintessentially English tradition of afternoon tea, and the transitional moment when day turns to evening and when cold Winter yields to Spring… This dreamy fragrance concoction from Penhaligon – with notes of Chantilly, Frangipani and Brown Sugar, blended with violet leaves, orange blossom and jasmine sambac, rounded with the deep, Oriental richness of Benzoin Siam and Ambrox. Is there any wonder why I´ve totally fallen in love with it? It´s dreamy.
3. ASOS LACE UP POINTED BALLET FLATS
These statement snakeskin printed lace-up flats from ASOS, have not left my sight since I got them a few weeks back. They look great with so many outfits; from jeans, skirts, dresses… I´ve replaced them with my heels for evening wear, and they´re equally as perfect for day-time chic. And the best part? They´re only £22 (yes, really).
4. BROOKLYN CANDLE STUDIO GREEN TEA & LEMON SCENTED CANDLE
One can never have enough scented candles in your home, in my opinion. I´m currently loving this hand-poured Green Tea Lemongrass aroma from Brooklyn Candle Studio (using only 100% soy wax derived from American-grown soy beans for an eco-friendly, clean burn) – with notes of orange flowers, bergamot tea, plum wine, jasmine, violet, lavender, finished with a clean citrus musk. It looks great at home, but I´m intending on bringing it with me on my travels (I love a bit of home comforts when I´m away).
5. URBAN OUTFITTERS PLANTS
If you ever pass by the Urban Outfitters store in Oxford Street, make sure you pop to the top floor and pick up some cactuses and plants from their newly launched department! I could literally buy it all (I´ve already got about six different ones from them); so many pretty colours, variation of plants and pots!
6. SIERRA YIP-BANNICQ CERAMIC DISH
I love this pretty handmade geometric dish from NY based designer Sierra Yip-Bannicq, with the black and grey speckled pattern. The perfect little accessory addition to my home, and ideal to store trinkets such as keys or jewellery.
7. PLENTY BY YOTAM OTTOLENGHI COOKBOOK
This is my third cookbook from Yotam Ottolenghi, and it did not disappoint. Filled to the brim with delicious vegetarian dishes (that you can actually pull together), making cooking all that more enjoyable.
Absolutely adore those Asos shoes! Will have to scope out a pair post-pregnancy! Thanks so much for sharing x
