Easter was a bit different for us this year. Normally we always spend it with my family in Norway, up at the cabin with lots of cross-country skiing and cozy nights in by the fire. As my parents were on holiday this year and my other half had work commitments outside of London on the Friday, I decided to join him and we made a little mini staycation out of it!
We stayed at the New Hall Hotel & Spa in the Midlands, a picturesque and grand medieval manor house filled with ancient charm and period features. After arriving late (Easter holiday traffic was a killer), we grabbed some food and threw ourselves into bed. Waking up to beaming sunshine and blue skies was a welcoming delight after the previous day with torrential rain. Spring was in the air and we were both happy campers! After breakfast and a much needed morning spa session with a massage – we wandered around the stunning hotel grounds and soaked in the country air… Bliss.
As you might have noticed if you follow me on Instagram – I welcomed the Gucci Soho to my bag family a few weeks ago, and haven´t looked back! I adore the soft tan colour and the cross-body shape is quickly becoming my go-to style (you can surprisingly fit a lot in it!). With this transitional weather, where it´s just about a bit too cold for just a leather jacket, I´ve been wearing my sleeveless shearling gilets to throw over; this old classic from Massimo Dutti (similar here) was the best buy. Teamed with skinny black jeans, comfortable biker boots and my trusted Celiné ´Baby Audrey` sunnies.
After our relaxing staycation, we felt totally rejuvenated and headed back to London for a few days, before jetting off to Venice on the Sunday… Don´t miss my travel diary from this magical place, going live on the blog next week!
