LONDON FASHION WEEK

Dressing for fashion week can be quite sartorially challenging, so there are a lot of things I personally take into consideration during those five days. Comfort is key, standing out yet retaining true to your personal style is essential and keeping the look tonal and classic with an edge, is always a winner.

So when I teamed up with Fenwick of Bond Street to choose my ideal fashion week look, encompassing all of those things – this was the result…

The Wool Coat: You may know by now that I am obsessed with coats. That and sunglasses is probably what I have the most of, category wise, in my wardrobe. A coat can really make and transform an outfit, and if you go for good quality, it will last you forever. This sand coloured beauty of a coat from one of my favourite Scandi brands, Filippa K, is a dream – and the perfect transeasonal piece to take you from Autumn to Winter.

The Fashion Piece: As mentioned, when keeping the overall look tonal and minimal – its crucial to add one statement piece to lift the outfit. In this case, its this stunning skirt from British designer Henry Holland. I love the cut, shape, colour and style, which will look just as good with trainers, heels and boots.

The Multi-Use Bag: Although I am a fan of adding colourful accessories, while keeping the rest of the outfit relatively neutral – a black, classic bag is always a winner – and this gorgeous leather and gold detailed bucket style from Sophie Hulme, is the ideal piece to add some understated chic to the overall look.

The Perfect Booties: I have never been the biggest fan of high heels; I love the comfort of flats too much! So instead of investing in high heeled stilettos, I tend to go for the black boots – in all kinds of variations. My latest purchase are these super chic ankle boots from Massimo Dutti – which with the slim fitted style and pointed toe, makes these the perfect style to dress up, and down.

The Neutral Jumper: A wardrobe essential which is far too underrated in my opinion. Although I love a good classic t-shirt or silk blouse – a fitted sweater can add so much to your look; it can make it more casual (in the case of this particular outfit) and can add a sense of preppiness or understated sophistication. This gorgeous knit, also from Scandi brand Filippa K, is the perfect wardrobe essential, and the minimal colour makes it yet another transeasonal style.

The Gold Statement Jewellery: Dainty, chunky and layered jewellery – all very good things in my eyes. As much as I love silver, on its own or combined with gold; you just can’t go wrong with all gold (and lots of it). My current favourites? Eddie Borgo, Tai and Mya Bay.

The Glamour Shades: I am obsessed with sunglasses, in just about all styles and colours. These black glittered shades from Sunday Somewhere will add that touch of glamour to any outfit.
