Smoothies are my thing. I would even go to say they´re one of my favourite things to drink. I just love starting the day with one; as an afternoon snack, pre or post-workout, or even as more “dessert” style version (the BEST). With the right ingredients and additions of superfoods, you can fuel your body with so much goodness – making them the ideal skin and body food!
A new year, bring fresh beginnings – and new opportunities to re-set and re-focus towards a happier, healthier you. On top of my New Years Resolutions, I´ve also compiled these 5 top tips to get you started!
SkinnyMe Teatox Pack 28 Days
I have been testing out this much hyped teatox from SkinnyMeTea over the past 28 days. After seeing the amazing user results on their Instagram profile (smtofficial) – I was certainly intrigued!
Prior to my honeymoon, I embarked on another 3-day juice cleanse – this time with The Source, a London based juicery. I wanted to feel and look my upmost best prior to my holiday, so I was excited to get started!
3-Day Juice Cleanse
Many of you might recall I did the 7-day Jason Vale juice cleanse last year (read my full review here) – however notably this was for seven days and I made all the juices myself; both of which combined together, requires a lot of dedication – trust me! After following Imbibery London on Instagram and seeing all the love going around for this London based cold pressed juice company – I was dying to try their 3-day Juice Detox, as a proper kick start just before the wedding!
Leading up to the wedding – I have been a very lucky girl and with some more free time on my hands, I’ve had proper time to focus on my body and health! Obviously, I really enjoy fitness and healthy food anyways – so I’ve just been stepping up my regular routine – and with the beauty and well-being; well every girl deserves a bit of R&R and pamper time before the big day right?
Along with all my other powder based supplements (see previous post here), I also make sure I always add enough good oils in my daily routine. As well as 1 tsp of coconut oil in my morning concoction, I’ve recently been testing out these delicious oils…
Now, I know a few of you have specifically requested some of the exact recipes I have posted – so I thought I’d share with you some of my faves (although, these are just a few of the many I like – but definitely my go-to recipes). I have adapted the juices after flavours I like, and particular vitamins I need (I don’t eat meat and suffer from low iron deficiency – so I need more protein and magnesium rich foods, as an example) – these can (and should) be slightly tailored to your own preferences and needs.
I´ve started my mornings with warm water & lemon juice for years, it’s a great way to wake up, cleanse your body and help increase your metabolism! Recently I´ve been boosting it with other ingredients for an even more powerful and tasty health elixir. Make it your morning routine and reap the benefits.
It’s been a long week, and I’m glad it’s finally the weekend. I can’t wait to spend a weekend in London, with this cozy Autumnal weather, long walks, baking, cooking, juicing (and evening trips to our local pub with friends, of course). Here comes my second series of my Kitchen Essentials… Which are also the perfect supplements and remedies for this Autumnal weather!
I love a good olive oil. I used to cook with it all the time – now I only ever use it cold pressed in dressings, lightly sprinkled over salads, fish and other light meals, to add flavour. Therefore I am always after something new to add a good taste. I was curious to try this hemp oil from Good Oil – made from cold pressed hemp seeds, which is very high in protein. Other benefits?
