I picked up these Nike Free Run 5.0 trainers in New York a few weeks ago. You might remember they were on my wish list a while back (well, in lime green). Unfortunately I couldn’t hunt those specific ones down, but I already had something like these ones on my mind. Lime green, maybe not so versatile? I opted for the safer choice; black, white and a touch of pink. Love them!
They’re so comfortable and look great with a more dressed up outfit, such as skinny jeans and a silk skirt – or even with a dress or skirt (seen on so many stylish girls in NYC).
You can customize your own ones here (my colour-way is on there as well).
I set up my blog last December and have since then shared with you my many purchases, cravings, outfits and snapshots on-the-go. I am fortunate enough to have gained a lot of global readers in this short space of time, which I am incredibly grateful for.
My question to you today would be – is there anything else you would like to see more of, less of? I will of course continue to share with you my shopping escapades, but this blog isn’t just about shopping; it’s style insight, trends and personal interpretations. So, if you have any specific requests, please let me know in the comments field, and I will try my best to oblige!
Oh, and I really appreciate comments, so if you like something, hate something – let me know in the comments ❤ field! I love sharing with you. I would love it if you could share with me as well.
I’m back in Norway with my family, helping preparing for my sister’s big day on the 23rd June. She’s getting married at our summer house by the sea – and the setting and style won’t be far off from the pictures collated above. Whimsical, bohemian and romantic.
For this reason I won’t be online everyday, so please bear with me this week!
High up on wish list is this zig zag rug from Urban Outfitters (£65). I love mixing graphic prints with softer and more vibrant elements, colourful prints and ‘shabby chic’ furniture.
I definitely swear by ‘contrasting elements’, my fashion motto if you like. This is very much the same when it comes to how I like interior. My flat is a bundle of contrasts; restored furniture, mixed with travel finds, and modern steel – this gorgeous rug will fit straight in. Whether my other half agrees, is a different matter…
I´m a pescetarian, and am pretty much obsessed with all types of fish and seafood. The majority of my dinner´s involve either prawns, squid, salmon or cod. For weekend comfort food, I love a simple and tasty Seafood Spaghetti! Here´s my take on it… Continue Reading
I was recommended Planet Organicby my nutritionist a few weeks ago, so I popped in to the Westbourne Grove branch today to buy a few bits she suggested. I was impressed by the store – it had a a fresh groceries and deli section, a manageable shopping area (I can’t handle too many choices when I food shop), and even a café in the corner. Definitely one of my new favorite food shops! Continue Reading
After a run this morning we popped to the shops to stock up on some food for breakfast. I bought my favourite – avocado with egg, rye bread and freshly squeezed orange juice. Nutritious, healthy and tasty. Continue Reading
The part I loved most of my Personal Training sessions was the boxing. The perfect way to release stress and aggravation – both of which comes from city life. Boxing is also a really effective, and fun way to tone up your body.
I’m really craving the scull motive at the moment – be it in jewellery, or even interior. How amazing is this pink skull head? I remember seeing a similar one in black at Urban Outfitters a while back, but have yet to come across one in pink. It would look amazing mounted on my white shelves, along with my books and candles. Serious craving. Give me a shout if you know where to find one!
I’ve been dreaming for sun and beach since October (I guess living in Australia and Barcelona for over 4 years has spoilt me). On that note I wouldn’t mind jetting off to St.Barths any time soon, but for now, 10 days in Marbella at Easter will have to do. I CAN’T WAIT. Continue Reading
I spent the weekend in Norway with my family at our summer house by the sea. Just the relaxation I needed, going for long walks, reading books, NO COMPUTERS (well, not as much as usual). However, you know me, even in the most remote places, I manage to buy something from somewhere! Continue Reading
I´m just as obsessed with books as I am with Assouline(well, almost). Assouline is a publishing house which do the finest books covering art, culture, food and fashion. They collaborate with the world’s foremost artists, photographers, writers, architects, fashion and interior designers – and the results is a collection of amazing photography and inspiration. Continue Reading
So I ended up returning the white Easytone trainers for the black ones instead. I much prefer them as they are slimmer, more lightweight and they will look better together with my black gym-leggings I just ordered yesterday! Continue Reading
I picked up these cute ceramic door knobs from Portobello Market this morning. I think I might just replace them with the black ones I have on our TV shelf – what do you think? They cost £7 for a pair. A steal! Continue Reading
I popped into Selfridges today to look at the sales, and as usual I ended up buying something not on sale. I bought a scented candle from Voluspa (£29.99) and yes, I have about a million candles in my flat from before, but how can you resist this beautiful one? Especially since it’s smells like Champagne! Win win. Continue Reading
WHAT I BOUGHT TODAY or WIBT if you like, is about shopping. A lot of shopping. Actually this blog is about buying something new and different every day – be it a pair of killer heels from my favourite shoe designer Burak Uyan, a chunky knit from the high street classic COS, an antique find on eBay, or a scented Diptyque candle. You name it.
WHAT I BOUGHT TODAY is also about sharing with you my latest finds, styling tips and searching out inspiration that you can make your own. I will review each of my purchases and hope you will give feedback as well by using the ★rate button at the end of each post! Everything I buy will be available in the stores now, unless its a rare vintage piece or it sells out.
I hope you enjoy my blog and please don’t hesitate to drop me a line if you have any queries or feedback!
