This weekend is going to be spent in London for once – sorting out our flat, and just in general, relaxing! I am very excited about my fab new bedside table lamps from Urban Outfitters – how cute! The colour also works great with the natural theme, against the brushed wood. I even managed to convince my other half, who at first, was not so convinced (now, totally loves them – obvs.)
If you haven’t checked out Urban Outfitter’s interior section yet, then you really have to! You might recall this cute French Bulldog statue and my gorgoes zig zag rug (the latter being the best addition to our living room). Loads of fun and colourful bits to liven up your home!
I don’t even need to mention again how much I LOVE scented candles in my home. So I am going to leave it at that (and oh – these ones from Urban Outfitters smell a-mazing and an absolute steal at £6!). Continue Reading
As you all know, I love my interiors, and sometimes (most times), I get more pleasure out of buying new stuff for my home, than clothes! After wearing out our white dinner set, we wanted to get a fresh one to match better in our new flat. We looked high and low, after ending up at trusted Marks & Spencer – finding this amazing cross hatched green/grey set. Such great quality and amazing value (on sale now!). Continue Reading
You all know I love my scented candles, and with my crazy schedule, I’ve been looking for a small, pocket-sized book (not too heavy to lug around), where I can carefully map out my days/weeks with my tasks. As always, Anthropology never ceases to fail. Now, I am seriously lusting for their beautiful bed throws that I just have to have…
Oh Grace. I can’t wait to start reading her memoirs… The opening page has already drawn me in, with a fabulous illustration of the royalty FROW, with continuos humouristic and sarcastic drawings throughout (and it look pretty good on the coffee table – win win). Continue Reading
A scented candle makes me more happy than many things. Other favorites are Voluspa and Malin Goetz – but Diptyque must be my my no.1 out of these – because it has it all; a huge variation of scents, packaging and longevity. This is now safely planted on our new Loaf bedside tables, and will be alight every night while reading my book. Bliss! Continue Reading
Last month it was orange, this month’s obsession seems to be yellow! This bag caught by eye instantly when I spotted it in the busy souks, amongst many other colours and sequin variations. I love the tan leather handle and shape. It will be perfect in the summer, for a beach holiday or to my local park. Continue Reading
I bought this beautiful handmade ceramic teapot, in a little Berber village in the Atlas Mountains. White with red stones and silver framing, it will look great on display in my bookshelves (or to use as well, of course). Continue Reading
As many of you might have picked up on, I’ve recently bought a new flat (after selling my first one back in the summer). The sale has taken a long time to go through, but I finally pick up the keys in a few days! So excited. It’s another renovation project, which is just how I wanted it! Anyways, see below for my ideas and plans for the new place… Continue Reading
When in New York – I always stop by Anthropologie and Dean & Deluca – one is an incredible lifestyle shop and the other a grocery/deli boutique, both of which have lots of pretty things for the kitchen! I picked up these monogrammed mugs from Anthropologieand some striped tea towels from Dean & Deluca. Continue Reading
High up on wish list is this zig zag rug from Urban Outfitters (£65). I love mixing graphic prints with softer and more vibrant elements, colourful prints and ‘shabby chic’ furniture.
I definitely swear by ‘contrasting elements’, my fashion motto if you like. This is very much the same when it comes to how I like interior. My flat is a bundle of contrasts; restored furniture, mixed with travel finds, and modern steel – this gorgeous rug will fit straight in. Whether my other half agrees, is a different matter…
I’m really craving the scull motive at the moment – be it in jewellery, or even interior. How amazing is this pink skull head? I remember seeing a similar one in black at Urban Outfitters a while back, but have yet to come across one in pink. It would look amazing mounted on my white shelves, along with my books and candles. Serious craving. Give me a shout if you know where to find one!
I’ve been dreaming for sun and beach since October (I guess living in Australia and Barcelona for over 4 years has spoilt me). On that note I wouldn’t mind jetting off to St.Barths any time soon, but for now, 10 days in Marbella at Easter will have to do. I CAN’T WAIT. Continue Reading
I spent the weekend in Norway with my family at our summer house by the sea. Just the relaxation I needed, going for long walks, reading books, NO COMPUTERS (well, not as much as usual). However, you know me, even in the most remote places, I manage to buy something from somewhere! Continue Reading
I´m just as obsessed with books as I am with Assouline(well, almost). Assouline is a publishing house which do the finest books covering art, culture, food and fashion. They collaborate with the world’s foremost artists, photographers, writers, architects, fashion and interior designers – and the results is a collection of amazing photography and inspiration. I picked up these cute ceramic door knobs from Portobello Market this morning. I think I might just replace them with the black ones I have on our TV shelf – what do you think? They cost £7 for a pair. A steal! Continue Reading
I popped into Selfridges today to look at the sales, and as usual I ended up buying something not on sale. I bought a scented candle from Voluspa (£29.99) and yes, I have about a million candles in my flat from before, but how can you resist this beautiful one? Especially since it’s smells like Champagne! Win win. Continue Reading
