This was another purchase from the Zara sale – a black leather & knit pannelled jumper. I can sense this is going to be a long term favourite in my wardrobe – it’s a classic piece, with that added edge. I glammed it up with my fab vintage boots and ladylike coat. I don’t tend to go overboard with leather in one outfit, but as long as you keep it subtle, with muted colours and other dominant materials, you can get away with it!
I am wearing the Zara knit with mohair coat from J.Crew (similar here on sale), jeans from Superfine, vintage boots and necklaces from Bijoux by Desi F.
i’m in love with that sweater!
the jumper is amazing!
wow, your coat and boots are fab! Let me know if you would ever consider selling any of them? :)
Haha, I will do :)
I agree! the coat and the boots are the real treat on the whole look. But I think, It is more better if your top’s (not the coat) shade of color is close to the boots just to balance the feel. Well, the tendency is the boots will gain more attention than the face. It should be kept in the middle and the boots must only compliment the whole look.
Hi Fashion Chic,
I really appreciate the honest feedback! :) I have this fear of being to ‘matchy matchy’ with colours, I love clashing and working on contrasts, often wanting to only let a few pieces stand out (in this case, the boots and jacket). When that said, thank you for the tip!

Kudos to Zara for always making the best faux leather! I bought a pair of leather leggings the other day and I am in love with them! That top is gorge!
