The black jumpsuit is so underrated, and the ideal alternative to the classic LBD. It´s such a playful piece, and pretty easy to dress up (or down), and style in so many ways. If you´re not a fan of feminine dresses for the upcoming summer party season, and looking to invest in a classic, transeasonal piece – then the jumpsuit might just be the answer… Here´s how I personally like to style it up!
First thing´s first… The jumpsuit in question. I fell for this classic, black off-the-shoulder piece from Wallis (which also happens to be the easiest thing to dress up). You all know I´m all about my jackets, and with the simple change of two totally different styles – the whole look can be transformed…
I love anything monochrome; it´s fail-safe, sophisticated and timeless – you just can´t go wrong with it. I teamed the black jumpsuit with this oversized white blazer, which adds a more tailored sophistication to the overall look and balances out the feminine off-the-shoulder frills. Add a pair of strappy heels and a classic clutch, and you´re ready for any party occasion.
As much as black and monochrome pieces are usually my go-to´s when it comes to parties; I´m also a big fan of fringes and adding pops of colour to an otherwise neutral outfit. I often like to do that with my accessories; but a great jacket can just as much be that perfect element to pull a look together. This dreamy suede fringe jacket is perfection in every way, and by adding a more boho feel to this classic black jumpsuit, you´re left with a more low-key and edgier feel to the outfit.
