Being originally quite dark, going lighter is always a lot of upkeep and maintenance (roots galore!). I have been going for a golden caramel tone for the last few years, but have been playing with the thought of going darker again, especially for my upcoming Spring wedding. However, yet again, I chickened out, and opted for an even lighter and richer tone! Although the majority of my friends and family think I should go back to my roots, I still prefer my hair lighter at the moment.
So it begins…
My amazing colorist, Mia, from the Sassoon Salon in Covent Garden (she is so good) – is one of the few to have properly mastered my colour, always making it look super natural and glossy at the same time. She’s layered a lot of lighter tones throughout my hair (never too thin, or stripy – this is crucial), covering it all with an even block toner. it. The amazing Sandor did my cut; shortening the ends and trimming my fringe – making my hair looking that bit fuller and healthier looking.
As always with Sassoon, I love the end result!
Next time, I might start the process of going naturally darker again; it will be a process, as I have so much colour and bleach in my hair – and I want to still maintain the richness and healthy looking feel to it – but I think it will look the most natural for my wedding (having my original colour)… Still undecided!
What do you think?
Thank you to Mia, Sandor and Sandeep from Sasson Salon – you’re amazing as always!
You look gorgeous as always. I do agree with you family tough that a slightly darker shade suits you just as fine :)
Ah thank you, and for your honest feedback!
This is a great and very natural look but I agree that your original colour on your wedding will also be great for your later memories. To remember a moment where you were absolute pure and beauty and you :-)
