Christmas is my thing; and I am not afraid to admit it – I am one of those who will easily watch Love Actually throughout the year, make my festive porridge on any cold day, and sip on mulled wine at weekends… So it comes as no surprise that I will easily start getting into the festive spirit already in November, starting with a girls day with afternoon tea, shopping and bubbles.
At least it´s finally proper coat weather, and there is a definite chill in the air (I don’t start before it gets cold, I am not that bad). To get into the festive spirit, I pop on my new sparkles from PANDORA’s Christmas collection. As always, I tend to keep my outfits relatively neutral and classic, rather adding the more luxe accessories via these subtle pieces of jewellery.

When it comes to festive shopping, I am all about being practical. Sometimes it´s hard to feel smart when you’re trying to keep wrapped up! I opted for this patterned v-neck silk shirt, which works beautifully with the sparkly pendant, and added a pair of delicate matching earrings and a sparkly ring, to pull the overall look together.
After meeting up with my girlfriend, we head to Sanderson for their Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea which is always a highlight. We both have really busy jobs, so it´s a great opportunity to catch up on all things life, whilst tucking into pots of tea and the most scrumptious plates of food. Moments like these, don’t get much better.
Fed, watered and royally fuelled up for an afternoon shopping spree in all my favourite spots in London!
First stop: Liberty. No surprise here I guess, being probably one of the most festive department stores of them all. If you ever need to get into the Christmas spirit, this is the place to go! I could spend hours here, and one of the highlights, is their stunning flower stand outside the main entrance. Flowers make me so happy, and whenever I am feeling a bit down or stressed out, I always head across here, to pick up a big colourful bunch of blooms.
We try our best to avoid the chaos of Oxford Street, taking the back streets down to Selfridges. After a quick swoop in here – we have a little wander in all the cute little boutiques in St Christopher Place – making our way up to Marylebone High Street – one of my favourite shopping streets in London.
I am all about preparation in advance when it comes to gifts; planning ahead and getting organised is essential – which in turn leaves more time to fully relax and embrace the months leading up to Christmas!
After a couple of hours of more shopping, we are done – and feeling pretty thirsty! We head down to The Ivy Café in Marylebone for a glass of Prosecco and nibbles.
The perfect day in London! Countdown to Christmas has officially begun.
