Happy Monday! Hope you’ve been enjoying my ‘Dressing the Bump’ series, as today’s is the penultima one! I have been featuring a lot of dresses as of late – which has no doubt been the category and style I have been wearing the most throughout this pregnancy; so I thought I would give you a bit of a different look today. Nothing ground-breaking, but another “typical” outfit I tend to wear a lot on a day-to-day basis (especially now that the temperature has dropped back to it’s early 20s)…
An overall casual look, featuring the best maternity boyfriend jeans (which I am so going to continue to wear post-pregnancy!), a simple, yet flattering sweater jumper which enhances the bump (to say the least!), my new favourite luxe statement flats and sunnies – which totally elevates this otherwise super simple Monday look.
Oh, and you might have already spotted this gem of a watch on my Instagram already, so I thought I would introduce it to you properly, considering it will be featured in every outfit going forward (!) – my new Rolex Datejust. My amazing husband surprised me at the airport on my birthday with it, and I still can’t believe I own it… So gorgeous and classic. I went for the smaller size, as my wrists are so petite, and I am currently loving stacking it up with some simple and timeless gold bangles…
Back to the rest of the outfit… I have dug out my tan Gucci Soho bag (the black one has been on a bit too much of a repeat lately) – and the overall shape of this bag is so good and surprisingly spacious. Not to mention this soft tan shade is pure perfection and a true classic. Teamed with my new favourite Jimmy Choo sunglasses; which are totally OTT, but oh-so-good! You know I love nothing more then pairing statement styles with casual and minimal looks, to create that real contrast.
As I was saying, dresses have been the real deal for me throughout the pregnancy – but I have also been loving going back to my classic jeans and sweater combo every once in a while. As you might know, dresses was never really a big thing in my wardrobe; always favouring more separates such as skirts/shorts with tees/blouses – and nothing overly-feminine. However, ease and comfort has been key during my summer pregnancy, and I have truly been embracing this season’s boho feel. Naturally, I am all about change and contrasts, so now that the temperature has dropped (thank god for that), I am actually really embracing the jeans and tight sweater combo, which is equally something I feel just as comfortable in.
Last but not least – these embellished leather slippers from fave high street store, & Other Stories – have also been on repeat since acquiring them last week. Not only are they super comfortable and easy to wear; I love how they so easy can elevate any outfit – especially a totally casual look such as this, totally transforming the overall feel.
