DRESSING THE BUMP #2 | BODY ENHANCING

DRESSING THE BUMP #2 | BODY ENHANCING

So from last week´s easy breezy chic all-black look – to something a bit more casual this week, and certainly, a lot more bump enhancing! As I was saying before; I am not usually one for bodycon dresses and styles – however things can certainly change – and funnily enough, now that I am pregnant, I am actually more into the tight shapes than ever! I mean, the bump is there, and it’s pretty special and beautiful – so why not show it off from time to time?

That´s not to say I am going all out in super enhancing and tight outfits every single day – but I have recently invested in some great styles which are both flattering, feminine and hugs in all the right places (very important) – which is making that transition a whole load easier. Teamed with the right components and accessories, this outfit in particular is the perfect example of how I would personally interpret a body enhancing outfit with a bump.

So first up is this super simple black jersey tank dress. No bells and whistles, nothing ground breaking – just a really good quality slip dress – which also just happens to be incredible flattering and easy to wear, in so many different ways! I am wearing it relatively casual with this look today – but it´s one of those styles, which could easily be dressed up with a blazer and slinky stilettos, for a more sophisticated evening look. But to be honest with you, casual and comfortable is 90% my day-to-day attire the moment – especially now in the summer heat, where simple, key pieces, are more important then ever. But that´s not to say it has to be boring; team the classic styles with some core accessories and other interesting clothing components, and you’ve easily nailed both comfort and style in-one.

Now to the jacket… You all know I love a good jacket, and in my opinion it´s one of the key pieces to really pull a look together (aside from accessories). The khaki jacket is still one of my favourite styles in general – I think I have invested in 4 alone this season, that is how much I wear them! This one in particular has has perfect boxy, yet fitted shape – and works great with the black simple cami dress. Overall, it’s a casual day-time look, where I have kept the look relatively tonal, with the added colour of some statement sliders to add a bit of edge and texture (how fun are these?!).
