From someone that´s not been into overly feminine dresses (or dresses in general) – and more often than not, always opting for separates instead – I am all over it at the moment! As I am sure you have noticed from April and May´s blog posts! And especially now that I am pregnant (and growing by the day), dresses have been so easy to throw on, teamed with a leather jacket, blazer or oversized khaki jacket.
This dress by Nine by Savannah Miller at Debenhams has been a winner for me for several reasons; it´s in black (which I always love), it´s stretchy and soft (flattering for the bump), and it´s super on-trend and fresh for the summer, with the black florals and frilly polka dots.
Ooh, and have you spotted my new Chanel espadrilles? I am in love. My husband spoilt me when we were in Paris back in April (boy did good!). I have been wanting some of these espadrilles for years. They have just launched this new style for the season, with a more discreet and smaller leather embossed logo, and a higher front. So I decided to opt for these instead of the classic ones – somehow, they felt more like me. Obsessed!
…then we have the perfect black Fendi Peekaboo, which has also proven to be the best investment. It goes with every outfit, and adds that luxe and elegance – as well as it being super practical and spacious for day-to-night dressing.
Now all I´m hoping is that I will still fit into this dress in the months to come! I am 5 months pregnant now, and would so love to continue wearing this type of ensemble. I got this oversized blazer in a size up, to make sure it was practical for the coming months; and there is nothing more slimming or flattering then a black and chic jacket to pull a look together.
