BEAUTY MUST-HAVE: MANE ´N TAIL

Mane ‘n Tail Hoofmaker£8

I was recommended this hand & nail cream from Mane ‘n Tail Hoofmaker (I know, the name and old-school packaging intrigued me as well) from a friend, who said it changed her nails completely! Of course, I went straight to Liberty’s to get myself some of this so-called ‘miracle cure’. Originally developed for horses to moisturize dry, cracked, brittle hooves (!) – it was noticed that many of those using Hoofmaker on their horses, noticed dramatic improvement in the condition of their own hands and nails.

So far, it’s seems to have made my nails stronger – not so much longer (however, nothing seems to make my nails grow) – and the cream is super moisturising and fast absorbing. Bar the funny smell, it’s seems to be a pretty solid cream, and I like that it’s for both hands and nails combined.

I would love to hear if any of you have had any experience with it – or if you have any other tips to help nail growth?

Solar Oil by CND is just incredible for growing strong and healthy nails. It has a beautiful almond scent and you apply to nails and cuticles. I really notice a difference to my nails when using this. Im also trying Dr Hauschka Neem Nail oil currently which is meant to be a good anti fungal and also helps to increase growth and nourish nails and cuticles.

I have really damaged nails from years of chewing and biting (I know – eww), I find rubbing a good dose of Lucas Paw Paw cream into my nails and cuticles before bed really helps. It is super moisturising and I would say it definitely helps nail condition and although its hard to say for sure I reckon it helps with nail growth too. Might be worth a try!

Almonds are great for nail growth, but I’m sure I’ve seen somewhere on the blog that you snack on those already? x
