BEAUTY MUST-HAVE: Bliss Triple Oxygen

BEAUTY MUST-HAVE: Bliss Triple Oxygen

Review of the Bliss Triple Oxygen Beauty Set range, containing a mask, cream, cleansing foam and an eye cream.

Firstly I started using the mask on its own a few months ago, as I was using up my other facial products. The mask felt strange at first, it sinks into your skin straight away, creating a stiff layer on the surface. After washing it off, my skin feels clean, but after several times use my skin actually starts to dry up, and I develop dry, red patches (like a rash). My skin type is normal/combination – sometimes even slightly oily – and I’ve never been sensitive to any type of products in the past. So, as you can imagine, I had a slight freak out when I had red patches all over my face! I stopped using it immediately, and my skin slowly went back to normal after a few days.

Several weeks ago I started using the rest of the set – the cream (day & night in one – which I was slightly sceptical to at first anyways), an eye cream and the cleansing foam. I even tried the mask again, just to see – and broke out with the same dry rash, which was annoying as it defeats the purpose of the total effect with the whole set in use.

The face cream itself is ok I guess, odourless and very smooth. It sinks straight into the skin and doesn’t leave an oily sheen, which so many face creams do. The same with the eye cream – just ok, no dramatic effect. However I really like the cleansing foam, it properly rinses off all my make-up and pollution grub, leaving my skin nice and refreshed (not dry).

I don’t really know what I expected to happen to my skin – I guess I had high expectations to this range, haven been told it totally re-vitalizes and boosts your skin. To be honest, it’s done neither. I am sure it works for some complexions – there must be a reason it’s so popular and hyped – but not mine I am afraid.
