Last weekend I had the pleasure of experiencing Wilderness Festival for the first time. Set in the picturesque and magical rural Cotswold, Wilderness is renowned for it´s whimsical, wild, over-the-top, magical and sparkly (quite literally) atmosphere… Not surprisingly, I wasn’t disappointed – this truly was an experience like no other…
The trip was in collaboration with Bicester Village (the designer outlet) – who kindly invited us down to the festival. Prior to weekend, Lucy and I went to the village to pick some pieces for the festival (pretty lucky, I know), so in terms of outfits, we were sorted…
The festival itself is set right beside a beautiful lake, and being so lucky with the weather – there was lots of sun and swim frolicking going on! Musically, there were some really great artists performing, but personally, I think this festival is so much more about the whole experience… From a sanctuary area with spa, massages, heading and meditation, to arts and crafts, flower making, vintage shopping, face paint, hair braiding, literature talks, tarot card reading, bowling… Not to mention, I´ve never been to a festival that is so serious about their food and drink! From Buddha Bowls to Smoothie huts, the choices were endless. Not to mention several renowned restaurants such as Hix, Spring and Petersham Nurseries, hosted banquets for lunch and dinner. During the day, the vibe is really relaxed, family oriented and fun – come dusk, the whole festival transforms into something out of Neverland; from soft house beats, jazz, 60s tunes, to more hard core electronic down into the Valley (where one can easily dance the night away until the early hours of the morning)…
There were so many highlights from the weekend, so it´s hard to capture it all into words. Luckily for you, there are enough pictures to scroll through…

After a great first day at the festival, we were ready for our banquet dinner feast at Spring by renowned chef, Skye Gyngell. The sun was just setting, and Aperol Spritz at plenty… What a way to start our first evening at Wilderness.

Second day at Wilderness – another day, another lace top!
A much needed pick-me-up.
So much beauty down by the lake! As well as boating, they´ve also got Paddle board Yoga. Might just have to sign up to that next time!
Lots of fun and giggles with this one.
Outfit and style wise, I thought I had some kind of idea of the dress code at Wilderness. But it was so much more eccentric and over-the-top than I´d imagined! Lycra, neon, spandex, feathers, glitter, crazy head pieces… Fairytale meets disco. Hence why I felt the need to jazz it up a notch on day two with some face glitter (granted, after one too many summer cocktails).
We also popped by Deliciously Ella´s product launch with skincare brand Neal´s Yard – such a dreamy set-up!
Braids of glory… Wish I could wear my hair like this every day.
The weather was just incredible the whole weekend – blue skies, beaming son, with a welcoming breeze come afternoon…

Yurt life. I mean, who wouldn’t want to stay in one of these?!
Nothing beats a tub of comforting Mac´n´Cheese at a festival!
Evening drinks at the Laurent-Perrier Champagne tent with the squad… Not your average festival, in other words.
Fed and watered, we popped by some R´n´B karaoke, and ended our perfect second day, dancing the night away in the Valleys…
Feeling slightly reduced on our last day of Wilderness, but happy as anything. What a weekend! So many impressions, so many memories, so much laughter and fun. I cannot wait to go back again next year.

Huge thanks to Bicester Village for this weekend to remember.
I’m writing on this topic these days, slotsite, but I have stopped writing because there is no reference material. Then I accidentally found your article. I can refer to a variety of materials, so I think the work I was preparing will work! Thank you for your efforts.
