A TOUCH OF BOHO FOR SPRING

A TOUCH OF BOHO FOR SPRING

I don´t know what it is. Come Spring and Summer time, I always, without fail, have a clear and straight course towards the more bohemian collections (anything with lace or embroidery, I am sold). If you´ve been reading my blog for a while, it´s pretty apparent that my style is pretty minimal and clean overall, with a definite Scandinavian influence. Funnily enough, my clothing style, is a direct reflection of my interior style. If you read this post last week, I was talking about how my decoration at home, is mainly minimal, clean and contemporary, yet with injections of a more relaxed and bohemian touch. So there you have it; I am a true Scandi-Queen at heart (but my knees always go weak when I see something with a touch of boho)…

…and in this instance, it was love at first sight when I picked up this dream of an embroidered khaki jacket from Debenhams. You will also know if you´ve been following me for a long enough time – that I am obsessed with military style utility jackets. As in, OBSESSED. There was a time I had far too many, so I decided to depart with a few via my blog shop (it was just getting a bit silly tbh). When that said, I did NOT own an embroidered version, hence why there was no need for any justification when it came to this one! I am mean, the gorgeousness…

I think the trick with the bohemian trend for the spring/summer season, is not going overboard. As I keep talking about (most recently in my last outfit post) – it´s all about balancing things out when it comes to your outfit. Sure, you can definitely be more relaxed when it comes to this trend in particular (as it is all about being, and looking more low-key and chilled-out). But going over-the-top Coachella in one a single outfit, is probably best saved for festivals specifically.

For day-to-day dressing; have fun and play around, but make sure you balance it out with more neutral colours and elements. This outfit is definitely casual and relaxed (and a look I personally feel super comfortable in) – yet the core statement and ´boho` embroidered piece is still in focus. I teamed it with some skinny black dungarees, a simple feminine lace blouse, classic sandals, neutral sunnies and a luxe designer bag, to help elevate – yet neutralise the overall look.

I mean, in the end of the day, it´s all about being comfortable, looking good, and opting for pieces which ring true to your own heart, right? My way of knowing I just ´have to have something´? When I grab it and take it straight to the till, without any hesitation. I told you it was true love.
