Pink is all the rage this summer – from bright pastels, shades of dark fuchsia to dusty pink (my personal favourite). Granted, pink can be a tricky colour, and not everyone´s cup of tea; with the risk of looking too girly or feminine. But when I spotted this perfect two piece linen suit from Tu Clothing – the ideal investment for the summer, be it for any upcoming events or just as a smart day-to-day alternative – it was love at first sight… With the more relaxed androgynous fit – combined with a muted soft pink, it pretty much ticks all the right boxes for me (not to mention it being an absolute steal).
I mean, I don´t need a lot of convincing when it involves a fitted blazer and some great tuxedo style pants anyways; I was however unsure if I could pull of a double whammy in pink. My solution for it not to be too sweet and girly? Team the ensemble with some contrasting and edgy accessories; such as flat statement shoes, a simple black bag and some luxe designer sunnies.
I also broke up the pink to black colour ratio, with a soft white top, which kept the look still light, summery and casual. I have so many plans for this two piece this summer; I can just see myself throwing it on with a pair of slinky sandals and a tee for a more casual day-time-look, wearing it with some strappy black sandals and a clutch to a day at the races, or play around with the piece as separates (the blazer looks amazing teamed with a pair of skinny jeans too).
The rose gold button detailing on the suit is also a great touch of luxe for this dreamy two piece.
Anyone else started compiling their summer wardrobe yet? I´ve had a bit too many shopping hauls recently (I´m completely blaming it on all the fresh colours and designs on high street right now). I can´t wait to show you lots of new summer outfits in the coming months!
