A PERSONAL TOUCH

A PERSONAL TOUCH

Adding those personal touches to your home can make all the difference to the overall look and feel of your home. I love my decor relatively minimal, in neutral soft colours, but it´s so important to add those extra elements to make it look all the more special…

Although those small, personal touches are apparent throughout our whole house – the bedroom is where I feel it can come out a lot more… It´s a private space – not like your dining/kitchen area – and definitely a safe haven in the house. We´ve still not started hanging up many pictures or artwork on the walls, so the first step was getting up some fun and personal pics in the bedroom… But instead of  just framing ordinary photos, I wanted to create a little collage feel within the frame, using our recycled napkin holders from our wedding, binding in the photo. Personal – with lots of good memories, always giving me the warmest feeling, both morning and night!

We live for travelling… When we´re back from a holiday, we´re already planning our next escape! To add a symbol from our travels, I hung up the Panama hat my husband picked up on our honeymoon in Fiji. It makes us smile every time, always remembering the holiday of a lifetime!
