A LITTLE TIME OUT

A LITTLE TIME OUT

To all my lovely readers. Some of which have been with me since day one, been following me for a few years, or even newbies in 2016. To ALL of you – THANK YOU so much for popping by every now and again to read my blog. It all started off as an innocent hobby well over 5 years ago, and I am so fortunate for it developing into my full-time job – all thanks to your dedicated, loyal support and encouragement…

2016 has been a crazy year for me and one of my most memorable; bar 2014 where we got married – 2016 has been a year of so much travelling, experiences, new friends and relations, a new house, personal development and findings… Although it´s been an amazing year with so many incredible experiences; it´s also been a year of obstacles and challenges; so I for one cannot wait to see what 2017 has to told for us.

It´s also been a year where social media and technology has gone crazy; which feels pretty awesome to be a part of. However with every thing new and shiny, there is always a dark side. I´ve personally felt the pressure of constantly being connected from day-to-night… And I guess I wasn’t quite prepared for it. Then there is the constant comparison to other peoples online “realities” (we all do it!), which has definitely affected me more than I realised. So over the past few months, I have slowed down a lot more, tried to cut myself some slack and just focus on my own path and what I am doing; stopped looking at others in envy – rather in awe and as an inspiration to constantly grow and develop what I am doing! Because no one does you better than you.

This Christmas we´re having both families over at ours in our new house, so it´s going to be a pretty special one. I decided I didn’t want to look back at this precious time with my loved ones being glued to any type of screen (except for the TV, where all our favourite Christmas movies will be on repeat), loosing out on all the special moments when we´re gathered. So I´ll be taking a much needed time-out from technology for a few weeks… A time to re-charge, relax and get ready for a cracking 2017!

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year, wherever you are.

All my love

Anneli x

Happy Christmas Anneli! I’ve absolutely loved reading your blog this year! Enjoy the break in your lovely home, you definitely deserve it! I too aka guilty of comparing my life to others online lives and so I think it’s important to switch off and take a break from social media once in a while. Looking forward to see what your blog brings in 2017! Merry Christmas! Sarah x
