Without fail – the leather biker jacket is one of my most worn, loved, and versatile pieces. In my opinion, it should be one of the core essential in any women´s wardrobe – be it smooth, cropped, longline, edgy, classic, minimal… I have far too many variations than I would like to admit, and this season – I´m all about this biker style from Jaeger – which pretty much encapsulates all my style requirements into one… In butter-soft leather, quilted stitching, with the classic biker belt and zip detailing – I am pretty sure I have found THE ONE.
So when Jaeger asked me to choose a hero piece from their collection and style it up 3 ways; it was pretty much a no brainer as to what to choose… And here are my three favourite ways of styling it up.
More often than not, I tend to reach for a black leather jacket when it comes to work wear. Not only does it go with just about everything; it can really be the missing piece of the puzzle when it comes to adding that element of edge and sophistication, to an otherwise relatively neutral outfit.
For a classic workwear look, I wore my leather biker over a simple grey jumpsuit – and the addition of the black quilted leather, makes it so much more modern and stylish – as well as creating the ultimate day-to-night look (which you all know I´m a big fan of).
With simple sandals and the perfect black bucket bag; this whole look is so easy and achievable for every-day dressing.
Come night time – the biker jacket is the perfect piece to throw over a slinky ensemble; especially when you want to balance out a feminine and figure-hugging dress. Having a slim-fitted leather jacket, can really pull together the whole look (not to mention a cover from any unpredictable summer showers).
Worn casually over the shoulders, with some classic heels and a clutch bag – this all-black ensemble is sophisticated, yet with that added edge from the leather jacket and accessories.
Sometimes (or more often, in my opinion) – you just can´t go wrong with clean lines and simple outfit compositions…
When it comes to the weekend, I tend to ditch all my fancy sandals and heels for comfortable and low key shoes and clothing. More often that not, my outfits consists of denim, leggings or even super soft jumpsuits; and the leather biker is one of my core essentials of really pulling a super casual look together…
With the additions of some clean-cut trainers, an easy, yet oh-so-chic rucksack and sunnies; this is the ultimate weekend look for catching up with friends, a spot of shopping or just strolling around in the hood.
Another perfect example where the simple styling off a statement biker jacket, can completely transform an ultra relaxed outfit, into more of an understated and smart look.
