red9For me, Spring has officially arrived when the blossoms are out. And especially now with the (much awaited) Spring heatwave – I am having all the new season feels, and I cannot wait to re-invent my wardrobe with lots of fresh new styles and colours (yes, you heard me – colour!). This time last year, I was just over 3 months pregnant, and although I hadn’t started showing by then, I wasn’t really in the mood to start investing in lots of new bits for my wardrobe, as I knew my body was changing week by week. So this year, now that I have finally reclaimed my body back, I am super excited to pick up some fun new styles for the warmer months ahead. Finding the time to work out when you have a baby, is not necessarily an easy, or straightforward task for us mummies. Whilst I have finally signed up to a gym which has a creche for Rio, there are many times when I’m craving working outside in the nature, or just to be more flexible and free moving; especially now that we’re transitioning into the warmer summer months. Aside from my weekly power walks in the park with the pram, I also love wearing my trusted Ergobaby carrier. I can’t believe my baby boy is 6-months today. I know they say time flies when you have children, but seriously – where has the time gone?! It genuinely doesn’t feel like six months since I went into the hospital… In so many ways I feel like everything is happening way to fast, and he’s growing up too quickly. Then on the other hand, I’m just loving seeing Rio developing. Firstly, happy International Walk to Work Day! Quite aptly, I’m tying in the theme of walking (and how to keep on top of your fitness levels on a day-to-day basis) in today’s blog post. I previously shared my Post-Baby Wellness Tips, where I mentioned my main reason for shedding the weight, being the simple (and free) fitness of walking. Since having Rio, I have never walked as much in my life, and it never stops. Be it for his daily sleeps, or just running errands, I’m constantly on the run with the pushchair. And albeit lots of times, I’m just in my skinny leggings and trainers; there are many occasions where I want to look stylish whilst at it.
