MUMMY DIARIES: THE 10/11 MONTH UPDATE

September 20, 2018
Processed with VSCO with v6 preset

Another two months has gone by, so again I decided it would be easier to compile month 10 and 11 together this time as well. I mean, since Rio’s been on the move, I feel like I haven’t sat down to rest for weeks and weeks! It’s been so full on, with days and months going into one another, and I can safely say that I’ve never been this tired in my life. Not just mentally, but physically, as Rio’s such a big boy. Don’t get me wrong, I love that he’s so solid, strong and healthy – but it’s been pretty heavy and strenuous for me (especially with him going through the most intense separation anxiety for the past few months). When that said, these past few months have been so much more fun and rewarding! Yes, even though it’s been a quite tiring with the constant clinginess – it’s still pretty amazing that he now fully knows who I am, and although he’s a super active and boisterous boy, it’s been so much fun seeing him develop at such speed. So read on for all the various updates, news and any advice I’ll be sharing from the past few months – including his new routine, a sleep update, some breastfeeding news, a typical meal plan for Rio, his favourite toys and activities, including some personal wellness updates which are making all the difference to my health…

AUTUMN DAYS WITH RIO

September 17, 2018

I’m not saying I’m happy that summer has come to an end, however there’s big part of me that is super excited about it being autumn; a new season, that exciting feeling of newness all around, and most importantly, more cozy times with my favourite little chap. Summer was so hot for the both of us (not so fun when you’re stuck in a steaming city with no breeze), so I think it’s fair to say that the slightly cooler autumn season is going to be just perfect. Be it snuggled up at home, or crisp strolls around our neighbourhood…

INTERIOR LIVING

NEW WALL ART

September 11, 2018
Facetune_09-09-2018-20-26-36

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always had a thing for interiors. I used to re-arrange and re-style my bedroom near enough every week for years and years; I just loved playing around with objects, layouts and spaces (and still do to this day). My main thing was that I would so easily get bored with a certain look, so I would keep changing things around. Slightly annoying for my parents I guess, but at least it kept me entertained for hours! And although I’m much more confident and decisive when it comes to interiors now; that need for constant change and newness within my home is still there… Continue Reading

THE 6 BEAUTY PRODUCTS I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT

September 6, 2018
beauty (1 of 1)

Time is limited for us all, but I personally didn’t quite understand quite how precious time was, after I become a mama… This is definitely the case when it comes to any kind of self-care or pampering (the latter of which is massive rarity nowadays). Small things like having time to shower in peace, doing your make-up without the little one raiding and pulling everything out of the drawer (I have definitely been known to leave the house with only eyeliner on one eye), having a face or hair mask. Of course, there is more time during the weekend when Daddy day care kicks in, but during the week things are a lot trickier, so it’s even more important than ever finding those must-have beauty products which really work…. Here are my 6 absolute beauty must-haves.  Continue Reading
